Installation Instructions
The MYHXQ outdoor wall sconce comes pre-assembled for quick installation. Follow these steps to mount your light fixture.
- Prepare for Installation: Turn off the power at the main circuit breaker. Ensure the area is clear and safe for electrical work.
- Attach Mounting Plate: Secure the standard mounting bracket (included) to your electrical box using the provided screws.
- Make Electrical Connections: Connect the fixture's wires to your household wiring according to standard electrical codes (black to black, white to white, ground to ground). Use wire nuts to secure connections.
- Mount the Fixture: Align the fixture with the mounting plate and secure it with the provided screws.
- Install Bulb: Screw an E26 base bulb (not included) into the socket at the bottom opening of the fixture. The open bottom design allows for easy bulb replacement without tools.
- Restore Power: Turn the power back on at the circuit breaker.
Operating Instructions
The MYHXQ outdoor wall light features a motion sensor and dusk-to-dawn functionality with three selectable lighting modes. The sensor is located on the top of the fixture.
Motion Sensor Settings:
Use the small button on the fixture to cycle through the modes:
- Press the switch button for 3 seconds to turn on the light.
- Press the switch button once to enter DIM MODE.
- Press the switch button twice to enter ECO MODE (ON/OFF mode).
- Press the switch button a third time to enter PC Mode (Dusk to Dawn Mode / Manual Override).
- Press the switch button a fourth time to turn off the light.
Lighting Modes Explained:
- DIM MODE: The light activates at dusk, staying on at 15-50% brightness. Upon motion detection, it brightens to 100%. After approximately 120 seconds of no motion, it returns to 15-50% brightness.
- ECO MODE (ON/OFF Mode): The light remains off at dusk. Upon motion detection, it illuminates at 100% brightness. After approximately 5 seconds of no motion, the light turns off completely.
- PC Mode (Dusk to Dawn Mode / Manual Override): The light maintains 100% brightness throughout the night. It automatically turns off at dawn. This mode is activated when ambient light is below 20 LUX and turns off when brightness exceeds 100 LUX, returning to auto mode.
Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your MYHXQ outdoor wall lights.
- Cleaning: Periodically wipe the fixture with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust and debris. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the finish or glass.
- Bulb Replacement: Ensure power is off at the circuit breaker before replacing the bulb. The open bottom design allows for easy access to the E26 socket. Use only E26 base bulbs.
- Inspection: Annually inspect the wiring and mounting for any signs of wear, damage, or loosening.
Troubleshooting
If your MYHXQ outdoor wall light is not functioning as expected, refer to the following common issues and solutions:
