4. Setup and Assembly

Before first use, sterilize all components that come into contact with breast milk (milk collector, flanges, connectors, duckbill valves, silicone diaphragms, silicone plugs) by boiling them in water for approximately 3 minutes. Ensure they are completely dry before assembly.

Assembly Steps:

  1. Place the silicone diaphragm into the connector, ensuring a secure fit.
  2. Install the duckbill valve onto the connector.
  3. Place the assembled breast pump connector into the milk collector.
  4. Gently push the flange (or chosen flange insert) into the milk collector without any gaps. Ensure it is pressed firmly.
  5. Insert the silicone plug into the milk collector so that its surface is flush.
  6. Assemble the pump motor and milk collector without gaps, ensuring they click securely into place.

Flange Sizing:

The pump comes with a 24mm flange and includes 17mm, 19mm, and 21mm inserts to fit various nipple sizes. Use the included nipple ruler to determine your correct flange size for optimal comfort and milk expression.

5. Operating Instructions

Charging the Pump:

Before first use, fully charge the pump motor using the provided USB Type-C cable. The large LED display will indicate the battery level. A full charge provides approximately 150 minutes of use or 6 pumping sessions.

Wearing the Pump:

Once assembled, place the breast pump inside your nursing bra, ensuring the flange is centered on your nipple. The pump's design allows for discreet and hands-free pumping.

Pumping Modes and Levels:

The OTEEIDA MY-375 features 4 modes and 12 adjustable levels to simulate a baby's natural sucking action and optimize milk expression. The LED display shows the current mode and intensity level.

  • Massage Mode: Gentle stimulation to initiate milk let-down.
  • Frequency Conversion Mode: Alternating suction patterns to mimic baby's varying suckling.
  • Breast Pumping Mode: Consistent suction for efficient milk expression.
  • Automatic Mode: Combines different modes for a comprehensive pumping cycle.

Turn on the pump motor and start in massage mode 1. After getting used to it, you can adjust the pumping mode and find the level that suits you best. The pump remembers your last settings for convenience.

Low Noise Operation:

The pump operates at less than 40 decibels, ensuring a quiet pumping experience that won't disturb your baby or others around you.

6. Cleaning and Maintenance

Proper cleaning and maintenance are crucial for hygiene and the longevity of your breast pump. All components that come into contact with breast milk are detachable for thorough cleaning.

Cleaning Steps:

  1. Before cleaning, always remove the pump motor from the milk collector assembly. The pump motor should never be washed or sterilized.
  2. Disassemble all milk collection components: milk collector, flange, connector, duckbill valve, and silicone diaphragm.
  3. Wash all disassembled parts with warm soapy water immediately after each use. Use a soft brush to clean hard-to-reach areas.
  4. Rinse thoroughly with clean water.
  5. Sterilize the components by boiling them in water for approximately 3 minutes, or use a steam sterilizer.
  6. Allow all parts to air dry completely on a clean drying rack before reassembling or storing. Ensure no moisture remains to prevent mold or bacterial growth.

Storage:

Store the clean and dry pump components in a clean, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Use the provided storage bag for convenient and hygienic storage.

7. Troubleshooting

  • Press and hold the power button until the display lights up.
Milk leakage
  • Milk collector is overfilled.
  • Improper assembly or damaged anti-backflow components.
  • Pump not upright.
  • Do not exceed the 200ml (6.6 oz) optimal capacity.
  • Check silicone plug, duckbill valve, and silicone diaphragm for proper installation and damage.
  • Ensure the pump remains upright during use.
