2.5 Pre-Infusion Technology

3. Maintenance
3.1 Automatic Cleaning System
The machine features an automatic self-cleaning function for the internal water pipes. To activate:
- Ensure the water tank is filled.
- Place an empty cup under the dispenser.
- Press and hold both the small cup and large cup buttons simultaneously for a few seconds. The machine will run a 120-second cleaning cycle.
3.2 Cleaning Adapters and Drip Tray
For optimal performance and hygiene, clean the adapters and drip tray after each use:
- Adapters: Remove the used adapter, discard the capsule/grounds, and rinse thoroughly under running water. Dry completely before storing.
- Drip Tray: The drip tray is removable. Empty any collected liquid and wash with warm, soapy water. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
- Piercing Pin: Use the provided piercing pin to clean the pouring nozzle of the DG adapter to prevent clogging.
3.3 Descaling
Regular descaling is essential to remove mineral buildup and maintain machine performance. Use a citric acid-based descaling solution according to the descaling product's instructions. Follow the machine's self-cleaning process with the descaling solution.
Important Notes:
- Never immerse the machine or any part of it in water.
- Do not clean the parts in a dishwasher.
4. Troubleshooting
4.1 Water Not Flowing Out
If water is not flowing from the machine:
- Deformed Capsule: A deformed capsule can cause pressure buildup, preventing water flow. Turn off and unplug the machine. Wait for it to cool, then open the lever and carefully remove the capsule.
- Air in Pipe: Air may be trapped in the pipe if the machine pumps empty. Use the provided pump pipe: insert it into the water entrance, fill with water, and inject the water into the machine to fill the internal circuit.
Video: This segment provides solutions for common issues such as water not flowing due to deformed capsules or air in the pipes, demonstrating the use of the pump pipe for manual pressure operation.
4.2 Standby Setting
To activate or deactivate standby mode:
- Press and hold both the large cup button and small cup button simultaneously.
- While holding, turn on the machine.
- The ON/OFF button will flash red twice and blue twice, indicating the setting has been toggled.
The coffee machine will automatically shut down if not used for 15 minutes.
4.3 Restore Factory Settings
To reset the machine to its default factory settings:
- Press and hold the large cup button.
- While holding, connect the machine to the power outlet.
