Introduction

This manual provides instructions for the operation and maintenance of your Generic S80pro Intelligent Translator. The S80pro is designed to facilitate communication across language barriers through its multi-language online and offline translation capabilities, photo translation, and simultaneous interpretation features.

Setup

1. Unboxing

Verify that the following items are included in the package:

• S80pro Intelligent Translator
• USB Data Cable
• User Manual (this document)

2. Charging the Device

Before first use, fully charge the S80pro translator. Connect the provided USB data cable to the device's charging port and a compatible USB power adapter (not included). The charging indicator will show the charging status.

3. Powering On/Off

• To Power On: Press and hold the power button (usually located on the side) until the screen illuminates.
• To Power Off: Press and hold the power button until a power-off option appears on the screen, then select to confirm.

4. Initial Language Settings

Upon first startup, you may be prompted to select the system language for the device interface. The S80pro supports 18 system languages. Navigate through the options and select your preferred language.

Operating Instructions

1. Online Translation (138 Languages)

Connect the device to a Wi-Fi network. Select the "Online Translation" option from the main menu. Choose your source and target languages. Press and hold the corresponding microphone button (usually red for one language, blue for the other) to speak, then release to hear and see the translation.

2. Offline Translation (18 Languages)

The S80pro features built-in offline translation for 18 languages, including Chinese (Traditional/Simplified), Portuguese, Arabic, Spanish, Dutch, German, Russian, French, Cantonese (Traditional/Simplified), Italian, Japanese, Vietnamese, Korean, and Thai. To use, select "Offline Translation" from the menu. Ensure the required language packages are downloaded (if not pre-installed). Speak into the microphone, and the device will provide the translation without an internet connection.

3. Photo Translation

Select "Photo Translation" from the main menu. Position the device's camera over the text you wish to translate. Ensure the text is well-lit and clear. The device will capture the image and display the translated text on the screen.

4. Simultaneous Interpretation

Access the "Simultaneous Interpretation" function. This mode provides real-time subtitle display and bilingual control, allowing for continuous interpretation in conversations. The device's high-fidelity loudspeaker ensures clear audio output.

5. Intelligent Recording

The intelligent recording function allows you to record audio and potentially transcribe or translate it. Navigate to "Intelligent Recording" in the menu to start, pause, and save recordings.

6. Group Translation

Utilize the "Group Translation" feature to connect multiple S80pro devices or compatible applications for multi-person, multi-language communication. Follow the on-screen instructions to create or join a group.

7. Language Learning Mode

The language learning mode assists in pronunciation practice and language acquisition. Select "Language Learning" from the menu to access interactive lessons and pronunciation exercises.

8. Exchange Rate and Unit Conversion

Access the "Exchange Rate" or "Unit Conversion" functions from the device's utilities menu to perform quick calculations for various currencies and units of measurement.

Maintenance

1. Cleaning

Gently wipe the device's screen and body with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or aerosol sprays. Avoid getting moisture into openings.

2. Battery Care

To prolong battery life, avoid exposing the device to extreme temperatures. Charge the device regularly, but avoid leaving it fully discharged for extended periods.

3. Software Updates

Periodically check for software updates through the device's settings menu. Updates can improve performance, add new features, and enhance security.

Warranty Information

This product comes with a 3-month warranty from the date of purchase. The warranty covers manufacturing defects and malfunctions under normal use. It does not cover damage caused by misuse, accidents, unauthorized modifications, or normal wear and tear. Please retain your proof of purchase for warranty claims.
