GarveeLife 20'x20'x13' Metal Carport Instruction Manual

Model: 20x20

1. Introduction and Safety Guidelines

This manual provides detailed instructions for the assembly, operation, and maintenance of your GarveeLife 20'x20'x13' Metal Carport. Please read all instructions carefully before beginning assembly or use to ensure safe and proper installation and long-term performance.

Important Safety Information:

  • For optimal stability and safety, install the carport on a flat, level surface. Concrete or other solid ground is preferable. If installing on soft ground or sand, ensure the foundation is properly leveled and compacted beforehand to prevent structural instability.
  • When installing the roof, apply the included waterproof tape on the edge of the metal sheets to prevent water leakage.
  • In windy areas, use appropriate fixing methods to secure the carport to the ground. For grass or gravel, use heavy-duty ground pegs, stakes, and guylines with ratchets for additional downward force. For concrete surfaces, use the included expansion screws. Placing sandbags on the base can provide additional downforce to resist high winds.
  • During snowfall, regularly clear snow from the roof. Do not allow snow accumulation to exceed 5 inches to prevent excessive load-bearing that could damage the structure.

2. Setup and Assembly Instructions

4. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and safety of your carport.

  • Snow Removal: During winter, clear snow from the roof regularly. Do not allow snow accumulation to exceed 5 inches to prevent structural damage from excessive weight.
  • Inspection: Periodically inspect all bolts, screws, and anchoring points to ensure they remain tight and secure. Tighten any loose fasteners.
  • Cleaning: Clean the metal sheets and frame as needed with mild soap and water to remove dirt and debris. Avoid abrasive cleaners that could damage the coating.
  • Rust Prevention: Although parts are coated with triple rust-resistant material, inspect for any signs of rust, especially in areas where the coating might be scratched or damaged. Address any rust promptly to prevent spread.

5. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues during assembly or use, refer to the following common problems and solutions.

Common Issues:

  • Missing or Damaged Parts: Products may be damaged during transportation. If you find missing or damaged parts upon delivery, please contact customer support immediately. Retain all packaging for warranty claims.
  • Installation Difficulties: If you experience challenges during assembly, review the instruction manual and assembly video (if available) carefully. Ensure all steps are followed sequentially. If issues persist, contact customer support for assistance.
  • Water Leakage: Ensure waterproof tape was correctly applied between roof sheets during installation. Inspect for any gaps or tears in the tape or roof panels.
  • Structural Instability (Wind/Snow): Verify that the carport is properly anchored to a level surface using appropriate methods for your terrain. Ensure snow load limits are not exceeded. Reinforce anchoring if necessary, especially in areas prone to high winds.
