1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the VIVOSUN Portable Greenhouse Heater. This electric heater is designed to provide efficient and reliable heating for various environments, including greenhouses, grow tents, garages, and other indoor/outdoor spaces. Featuring an adjustable thermostat, multiple heating modes, and robust safety features, this manual will guide you through its safe and effective operation.

2. Safety Information

WARNING: Read all safety warnings and instructions before using this product. Failure to follow the warnings and instructions may result in electric shock, fire, or serious injury.

• Electrical Safety: Ensure the plug is fully inserted into an appropriate receptacle. Loose connections can cause overheating. Replace worn outlets or receptacles before using the heater.
• Overheat Protection: The heater is equipped with a double safety protection system. The thermostat automatically shuts off at 108°F (42°C) to prevent overheating. Additionally, the heater cuts off automatically if its internal temperature reaches a protection limit.
• Flame-Retardant Material: Constructed with flame-retardant materials for enhanced safety.
• Dustproof Design: An IP20 dustproof rating protects internal components from dust accumulation, minimizing dust-related fire hazards and reducing maintenance needs.
• Placement: Always place the heater on a stable, level surface. Ensure adequate clearance from walls, furniture, and other combustible materials.
• DO NOT COVER: Never cover the heater. Covering can lead to overheating and fire hazards.

5. Setup

1. Unpack: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Retain packaging for future storage or transport.
2. Placement: Position the heater on a firm, level surface. Ensure there is at least 3 feet (0.9 meters) of clear space around the heater to allow for proper airflow and prevent fire hazards. Avoid placing it directly on carpet or near curtains.
3. Connect Thermostat: Plug the heater's power cord into the thermostat's output receptacle. Then, plug the thermostat's power cord into a standard 110-120V AC electrical outlet.
4. Heater Knob Setting: When using the external thermostat, set the heater's temperature control knob to its maximum setting. This allows the external thermostat to regulate the temperature effectively.
5. Adjust Angle: Utilize the 90° rotation feature to direct the heat flow as needed. Loosen the side knobs, adjust the heater to the desired angle, and then tighten the knobs to secure it.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1. Heater Controls

The heater unit has two main control knobs:

• Power Control Knob: Selects the operating mode (OFF, Fan Only, 750W Low Heat, 1500W High Heat).
• Temperature Control Knob: Adjusts the internal thermostat. Set to MAX when using the external thermostat.

6.2. Thermostat Operation

The external thermostat provides precise temperature management:

• Power On/Off: Press the 'POWER' button to turn the thermostat on or off.
• View Target Temperature: Press the 'SET' button briefly to view the current target temperature.
• Set Target Temperature: Press and hold the 'SET' button for 3 seconds. The display will flash. Use the 'UP' and 'DOWN' buttons to adjust the desired temperature. Press 'SET' again to confirm.
• Change Temperature Unit: Press and hold the 'UP' button to switch to Fahrenheit (°F). Press and hold the 'DOWN' button to switch to Celsius (°C).

7. Maintenance

• Cleaning: Always unplug the heater before cleaning. Use a soft, damp cloth to wipe the exterior surfaces. Do not use abrasive cleaners or allow water to drip into the interior. The IP20 dustproof design helps minimize internal dust accumulation.
• Storage: When not in use, store the heater in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture.
• Inspection: Periodically inspect the power cord and plug for any signs of damage. If damaged, discontinue use and contact customer support.
