5. Setup

5.1 Battery Installation

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the timer.
  2. Open the compartment cover.
  3. Insert two (2) new AA alkaline batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
  4. Close the battery compartment cover securely to maintain the IPX5 rating.

The LCD screen will activate upon successful battery installation. A low battery indicator will appear on the screen when batteries need replacement. The timer features a low power auto-shutoff to prevent continuous watering when batteries are depleted.

5.2 Connecting the Timer

  1. Ensure the faucet is turned off.
  2. Thread the timer onto your outdoor faucet. Hand-tighten firmly. Use the included PTFE tape on the faucet threads if necessary to ensure a watertight seal.
  3. Connect your garden hoses or irrigation lines to the two outlets at the bottom of the timer. Ensure the connections are secure to prevent leaks.
  4. Slowly turn on the faucet. Check for any leaks. If leaks occur, tighten connections or reapply PTFE tape.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Button Functions

  • ESC/OFF: Exit current setting, turn off watering.
  • OK: Confirm selection, move to next setting.
  • +/-: Adjust values (increase/decrease).
  • Manual: Initiate manual watering.
  • Delay: Activate rain delay function.
  • 1/2 NOW ZONE: Switch between Zone 1 and Zone 2 for programming.

6.2 Setting Current Time

  1. Press the OK button to enter time setting mode.
  2. Use +/- buttons to adjust the hour. Press OK to confirm.
  3. Use +/- buttons to adjust the minute. Press OK to confirm.
  4. The current time is now set.

6.3 Programming Watering Schedules (Automatic Mode)

The timer allows up to three customizable watering programs per zone.

  1. Press 1/2 NOW ZONE to select either Zone 1 or Zone 2.
  2. Press OK repeatedly until 'START TIME' flashes. Use +/- to set the desired start time for the first program. Press OK.
  3. When 'HOW LONG' flashes, use +/- to set the watering duration (1 minute to 360 minutes). Press OK.
  4. When 'HOW OFTEN' flashes, use +/- to set the watering frequency (e.g., every 1 hour, every 2 days, up to 15 days). Press OK.
  5. Repeat steps 2-4 for the second and third programs if needed.
  6. Press ESC/OFF to return to the main screen. The timer is now in automatic mode.

6.4 Manual Watering

To water manually without affecting your programmed schedule:

  1. Press the Manual button.
  2. Use +/- to set the desired manual watering duration.
  3. Press OK to start manual watering.
  4. To stop manual watering, press Manual again or ESC/OFF.

6.5 Rain Delay Function

To pause your watering schedule due to rain:

  1. Press the Delay button.
  2. Use +/- to select the desired delay duration (1 to 15 days).
  3. Press OK to activate the rain delay. The timer will resume its programmed schedule after the delay period.
  4. To cancel rain delay, press Delay again and set the delay to 0, or press ESC/OFF.

6.6 Child Lock

To prevent accidental changes to settings, activate the child lock:

  • Press and hold the OK button for 3 seconds to lock the controls. A lock icon will appear on the screen.
  • To unlock, press and hold the OK button again for 3 seconds.

  • Cleaning: Periodically wipe the timer with a damp cloth to remove dirt and debris. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
