- Simultaneous Display: All relevant parameters are shown on the screen at once.
- Wide Application: Suitable for pools, aquariums, hydroponics, brewing, and drinking water.
- Pre-calibrated: EC/TDS/Salinity functions are pre-calibrated from the factory.
- Replaceable Electrode: Ensures long-term usability and easy maintenance.

Setup and Calibration
The EC/TDS/Salinity functions of your YINMIK YK-T5AEU tester are pre-calibrated at the factory and can be used directly. However, pH calibration is required for accurate measurements.
pH Calibration
- Prepare the pH 7.00 calibration solution.
- Clean the electrode with distilled water and dry it gently.
- Immerse the electrode into the pH 7.00 solution.
- Press and hold the "pH CAL" button for 5 seconds. The display will show "CAL" and "7.00" will flash three times.
- Wait for the reading to stabilize. The calibration for pH 7.00 is complete.
- Repeat the process for pH 4.00 and pH 10.01 solutions if higher accuracy across the range is desired.
Calibration Frequency: For precision of +/-0.1pH, calibrate once per week. For precision of 0.2-0.3pH, calibrate once per month.

EC/TDS/Salinity Calibration
The EC/TDS/Salinity functions are pre-calibrated at the factory. If recalibration is needed, follow these steps:
- Add the 1413 µS/cm calibration solution. Wait for the value to stabilize.
- Press and hold the "EC CAL" button for 5 seconds, then release. A value will flash on the screen.
- Use the up and down arrows to adjust the value to 1413.
- The "1413" will flash three times, indicating calibration is complete.
- Clean the electrode and dry it.
Note: 5000 µS/cm and 12.88 mS/cm solutions follow the same calibration steps. For drinking water, no calibration is typically required. For pool water, calibrate once every 2-3 months.

Operating Instructions
General Usage
To use the tester, simply immerse the electrode into the water sample. The device will automatically display the pH, EC, TDS, Salinity, and Temperature readings simultaneously on the screen. No need to switch modes to view different parameters.

Specific Applications
Pools and Spas
Regularly monitor the pH and salinity levels of your pool or spa water. Ideal pH for pools is typically 7.2-7.8, and ideal salinity (for saltwater pools) is 1700-2400 ppm. Temperatures between 25.5-28.8°C are generally recommended. High salinity levels (above 4500 ppm) can damage salt chlorine generators.

Aquariums (Freshwater and Saltwater)
Maintain stable pH and salinity (for saltwater aquariums) to ensure the health of aquatic life. The TDS meter can also help assess the efficiency of your filtration system; high TDS in pumped water may indicate a need for filter replacement.

Hydroponics
Accurate pH and EC measurements are crucial for nutrient uptake in hydroponic systems. This tester allows for easy monitoring of these parameters to ensure plants receive the necessary nutrients for growth.

Drinking Water
Use the TDS function to check the quality of your drinking water, including tap water, filtered water, well water, and bottled water. TDS values can indicate the effectiveness of water filters; high TDS may suggest a filter needs replacement.

Brewing and Fermentation
For brewing beer, the pH of your mash affects enzyme activity, which is vital for converting starches to fermentable sugars. For kombucha, maintaining a pH range of 2.5 to 3.5 is key for optimal flavor. When pickling vegetables, the tester helps prepare the fermentation brine.
Maintenance
Electrode Cleaning
Regularly clean the EC electrode probe with a cotton swab to prevent residue buildup and ensure accurate readings.
Storage
To maintain the electrode's longevity, add a few drops of electrode protection liquid (KCL solution) to the cap. If KCL solution is unavailable, three drops of water can be used as a temporary measure.
Troubleshooting
If you experience inaccurate readings or device malfunction, consider the following:
- Inaccurate pH Readings: Recalibrate the pH function using fresh buffer solutions. Ensure the electrode is clean.
- Unstable Readings: Ensure the electrode is fully immersed and the water sample is still. Clean the electrode if necessary.
- No Display/Power Issues: Check battery levels. Replace batteries if low.
- General Malfunction: Refer to the warranty and support section for assistance.
