2. Initial Setup
2.1 Attaching the Antenna
The HuiTinJesh Si4732 Mini Radio supports two types of antennas: a Pull Rod Antenna and a Loop Antenna. Select the appropriate antenna based on your reception needs.
- Pull Rod Antenna: Screw the Pull Rod Antenna clockwise into the antenna port located on the top left side of the radio. Extend the antenna fully for optimal reception, especially for FM and VHF bands.
- Loop Antenna: Connect the Loop Antenna to the antenna port. This antenna is particularly effective for lower frequency bands (e.g., shortwave).

5. Maintenance
5.1 Cleaning
Wipe the radio with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, which can damage the casing or screen.
5.2 Storage
Store the radio in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. If storing for an extended period, ensure the battery is partially charged (around 50%) to prolong its lifespan.
5.3 Battery Care
To maintain battery health, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. Recharge the radio when the battery indicator is low.
6. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Solution |
|---|---|
| Low Volume Output | Ensure the volume is adjusted to an adequate level. If using headphones, verify they are properly connected. Consider checking for available firmware updates, as some users report volume improvements with newer versions. |
| Poor Reception | Ensure the antenna is fully extended (for pull rod) or properly connected (for loop antenna). Try repositioning the radio or using the alternative antenna type. For shortwave, an external antenna may improve performance. |
| Device Does Not Power On | Check the battery level. Connect the radio to a power source using the USB cable and allow it to charge for at least 30 minutes before attempting to power on again. |
| Screen is Blank or Frozen | Perform a soft reset by pressing and holding the power button for 10-15 seconds. If the issue persists, allow the battery to fully discharge and then recharge. |
