Setup and Installation

Follow these steps to properly install your Wireless PC Power Button:

  1. Prepare your PC: Power off your computer and unplug it from the power source. Open your PC case to access the motherboard.
  2. Connect the Receiver to USB Header: Locate an available 9-pin USB header on your motherboard. Connect the receiver's USB cable to this header. The receiver draws power from this connection without occupying external USB ports or PCIe slots.
  3. Connect the Receiver to Power Switch Pins: Identify the Power Switch (PWR_SW) pins on your motherboard's front panel header. Use the provided 1-to-2 splitter board if you wish to retain the functionality of your original PC case power button alongside the wireless button. Connect the receiver's power switch cable to the splitter, and then connect the splitter to the motherboard's PWR_SW pins.
  4. Secure the Receiver: The receiver features an adhesive sticker for flexible installation. You can place it inside your PC case or in an accessible location outside, ensuring it does not obstruct airflow or other components.
  5. Enable 'Always On' USB Power (if necessary): For optimal functionality, especially for remote power-on, you may need to enable 'Always On' USB power in your motherboard's BIOS settings. Refer to your motherboard's manual for specific instructions on how to access and configure this setting.
  6. Close PC Case and Power On: Once all connections are secure, close your PC case and reconnect the power source.
