Setup and Installation

The Lightbiz C930 lights offer two convenient installation methods:

  1. Direct Magnetic Attachment: The lights have a built-in strong magnet on their back cover. They can be easily attached to any iron-based surface without additional tools.
  2. Adhesive Tape for Non-Iron Surfaces: For non-iron surfaces, use the provided 3M adhesive tape and metal strip.
    • Step 1: Peel off the protective film from one side of the 3M adhesive tape and stick it onto the metal strip.
    • Step 2: Clean the desired flat surface thoroughly with rubbing alcohol to ensure optimal adhesion. Allow the surface to dry completely.
    • Step 3: Peel off the remaining protective film from the adhesive tape on the metal strip and firmly press the metal strip onto the cleaned surface.
    • Step 4: Attach the light to the metal strip using its built-in magnet. This allows for easy removal for recharging.

Operating Instructions

Power On/Off

To power the light on or off, press and hold the button on the side of the light for 3 seconds.

Operating Modes

The lights feature two primary operating modes, selectable via the control button or remote control:

  • Night (AUTO) Mode: In this mode, the light will automatically turn on when motion is detected in a sufficiently dark environment. It will turn off approximately 30 seconds after no motion is detected. This mode is ideal for energy saving in areas like hallways, stairways, and closets.
  • Always-on (ON) Mode: In this mode, the light will remain continuously on until manually turned off or switched to another mode.

Color Temperature Adjustment

The lights offer three color temperature options: Cool White (6500K), Nature White (4500K), and Warm White (3000K). These can be cycled through using the control button or selected directly via the remote control.

Brightness Control

Use the remote control to increase or decrease the brightness of the lights. The dimmable feature allows for customized illumination levels.

Timing Function

The remote control includes a timing function, allowing you to set the lights to automatically turn off after 30 minutes.

Charging the Lights

When the battery is low, the light output may diminish. To recharge:

  1. Remove the light from its installed location (if using magnetic attachment).
  2. Place the light(s) into the charging station.
  3. Connect the Type-C cable to the charging station and a suitable USB power adapter (not included).
  4. An indicator light on the puck light will show red during charging and turn green when fully charged.

Maintenance

Cleaning

Wipe the lights with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the lights in water, as they are not water-resistant.

Battery Life

The frequency of recharging depends on usage. In high-traffic areas with frequent motion detection, recharging may be required more often (e.g., every two weeks). For less frequent use, the battery life will be longer.

Troubleshooting

  • Light does not turn on:
    • Ensure the light is charged. Connect it to the charging station and check the indicator light.
    • Verify the light is powered on by pressing and holding the side button for 3 seconds.
    • If in Night (AUTO) mode, ensure the environment is dark enough and motion is within the detection range (10ft/120°).
  • Motion sensor not working:
    • Confirm the light is in Night (AUTO) mode.
    • Ensure there are no obstructions blocking the sensor.
    • Test in a completely dark environment, as the sensor is designed for low-light conditions.
  • Light falls off surface:
    • For adhesive installations, ensure the surface was clean and dry before applying the metal strip.
    • If the adhesive is no longer strong, replace it with new strong double-sided mounting tape.
  • Remote control not responding:
    • Ensure the remote control has working batteries.
    • Point the remote directly at the light within a reasonable range.
