Setup & Installation

The GarveeTech portable air conditioner is designed for easy setup. Follow these steps for quick installation:

1. Prepare the Window Kit: The included window kit is suitable for vertical-hung and horizontal-sliding windows between 25.59″ and 47.24″. For narrower openings, the slider panels may need to be trimmed manually.
2. Attach Exhaust Hose to Window Kit: Securely connect one end of the exhaust hose to the adapter that fits into the window panel.
3. Install Window Kit: Place the assembled window panel into the open window frame. Extend the panel to fit snugly against the window sides and secure it. Close the window against the panel to seal the opening.
4. Connect Exhaust Hose to AC Unit: Attach the other end of the exhaust hose to the designated exhaust port on the back of the portable AC unit. Ensure a tight seal to prevent hot air from re-entering the room.
5. Position the Unit: Place the unit on a flat, stable surface near a grounded power outlet. Ensure there is adequate space around the unit for proper airflow. The unit is equipped with 360° rotatable wheels for easy positioning.

Operating Instructions

Your GarveeTech portable AC unit can be operated using the top panel touch controls or the included remote control.

Control Panel & Remote Functions:

• Power Button: Turns the unit ON or OFF.
• Mode Button: Cycles through available modes: Cool, Fan, Dry (Dehumidifier).
• Temperature Adjustment (Up/Down Arrows): Adjusts the desired temperature between 61℉ and 88℉.
• Fan Speed Button: Selects between High and Low fan speeds.
• Swing Button: Activates or deactivates the automatic air swing function for wider air distribution.
• Timer Button: Sets the 24-hour timer for delayed start or stop operation.
• Sleep Mode Button: Activates sleep mode for quieter operation and reduced energy consumption.

Maintenance

Air Filter Cleaning:

• The unit features a removable and washable multilayer air filter.
• For best results and enhanced air quality, clean the air filter every two weeks.
• To clean, remove the filter, wash it with mild soap and water, rinse thoroughly, and allow it to air dry completely before reinserting.

Drainage:

• In high humidity conditions or during heavy use, manual draining or connection to continuous drainage is supported.
• An overflow alarm with a flashing “FULL” indicator will prompt you to drain the unit when the water reservoir is full.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your GarveeTech portable air conditioner, refer to the following common solutions:

• Unit not cooling: Ensure the exhaust hose is properly installed and sealed. Check if the air filter is clean. Verify the temperature setting is lower than the ambient room temperature.
• Unit not turning on: Check if the power cord is securely plugged into a grounded outlet. Ensure there are no power outages.
• “FULL” indicator flashing: The internal water reservoir is full. Drain the unit manually or connect a continuous drainage hose.
• Frost Protection: If the exhaust pipe temperature drops too low, the unit will pause operation and auto-resume at safe levels. This is a normal protection function.
• Compressor Restart Delay: The compressor has a 3-minute restart delay to protect and prolong its life. This is normal behavior after a power cycle or mode change.
