2. Safety Information

Your safety is paramount. The RYMIC SR6 helmet is designed to meet or exceed FMVSS-218 and DOT safety standards. Always wear a properly fitted and secured helmet when riding a motorcycle.

2.1 Proper Helmet Fit

A helmet must fit snugly to provide maximum protection. Use the following guidelines to ensure a correct fit:

  1. Measure Head Circumference: Use a flexible tape measure to measure the largest part of your head, approximately 1 inch above your eyebrows.
  2. Consult Size Chart: Refer to the size chart below to find your corresponding helmet size.
  3. Try On Helmet: The helmet should feel snug around your entire head, with no pressure points. It should not move freely when you shake your head.
  4. Check Cheek Pads: Cheek pads should press firmly against your cheeks. If they squeeze too much, consider a larger size. If they are too loose, the helmet may be too large.
  5. Chin Strap: Fasten the chin strap securely. It should be tight enough that you cannot pull the helmet off your head by rolling it forward or backward.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning the Helmet Shell

Clean the helmet shell with a soft cloth, warm water, and mild soap. Avoid harsh chemicals, solvents, or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the helmet's finish and materials.

6.2 Cleaning the Visor

Remove the visor for cleaning. Use warm water and a soft microfiber cloth. For stubborn dirt, use a helmet-specific visor cleaner. Do not use abrasive materials or paper towels, which can scratch the visor. Allow to air dry or gently pat dry with a clean, soft cloth.

6.3 Cleaning the Liner

The removable Max-Dry liner can be hand-washed with mild soap and water. Allow it to air dry completely before reinstalling. Do not machine wash or tumble dry.

7. Troubleshooting

  • Visor Fogging: Ensure the helmet's ventilation system is open. Consider installing a Pinlock anti-fog insert (sold separately) on the Pinlock-ready visor.
  • Excessive Wind Noise: Ensure all vents are closed if you prefer less airflow and noise. Check that the visor is fully closed and sealed. A proper fit is crucial for minimizing wind noise.
  • Uncomfortable Fit: Refer to the size chart and proper fitment instructions in Section 2.1. If the helmet feels too tight, especially around the cheeks, consider trying a larger size.
