6. Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your KAIY C41S, follow these maintenance guidelines:
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the device. Avoid using liquid cleaners or abrasive materials.
- Storage: Store the device in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures when not in use.
- Cable Care: Handle cables gently. Avoid bending or twisting them excessively, which can cause internal damage.
- Firmware Updates: Check the manufacturer's website periodically for any available firmware updates that may improve performance or add new features.
7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your KAIY C41S, please refer to the following common problems and solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause / Solution |
|---|---|
| No sound or distorted sound when connected via Optical. | Ensure your TV or transmitting device's digital sound output is set to "PCM". Many devices default to other formats (like Dolby Digital) which are not compatible with this adapter. Check that the optical cable is securely connected at both ends and is not damaged. |
| Cannot pair with Bluetooth headphones/speakers. | Ensure your headphones/speakers are in pairing mode. This is the most common reason for pairing issues. Refer to your headphone/speaker manual for specific instructions on how to enter pairing mode. Make sure the KAIY C41S is in TX (Transmitter) mode. Move the devices closer to each other to ensure they are within range. Clear previous pairings on both the C41S and your headphones/speakers if possible, then try again. |
| Audio is choppy or cuts out. | Reduce the distance between the KAIY C41S and the connected Bluetooth device. Ensure there are no major obstructions (walls, large metal objects) between the devices. Minimize interference from other wireless devices (Wi-Fi routers, microwaves). |
| No power or device does not turn on. | Verify the USB-C charging cable is securely connected to both the device and a working USB power source. Try a different USB port or power adapter. Ensure you are pressing and holding the Power ON/OFF Button for a few seconds to turn it on. |
| TF Card music not playing. | Ensure the TF card is inserted correctly and fully into the slot. Verify that the audio files on the TF card are in a supported format (e.g., MP3, WAV). Try reformatting the TF card (backing up data first) or using a different TF card. |
