Figure 5.2: The CHIVALZ DH2088 dehumidifier with its visible water tank. The image shows a woman doing laundry in the background, while the dehumidifier in the foreground highlights its transparent water tank, allowing users to easily monitor the water level and cleanliness. Red arrows indicate airflow into the unit, and a 'Water Full Alert' feature is noted to prevent overflow risks.
  1. When the water tank is full, the unit will automatically stop operating, and the 'Water Full' indicator light will illuminate. An audible alert may also sound.
  2. Carefully pull out the water tank from the front of the unit.
  3. Empty the collected water into a sink or drain.
  4. Slide the empty water tank back into the unit until it clicks into place. The unit will resume operation automatically.

Continuous Drainage

For continuous operation without needing to empty the water tank, you can use the included drain hose.

  1. Locate the continuous drainage port at the rear of the unit.
  2. Remove the rubber stopper from the drainage port.
  3. Connect one end of the provided drain hose to the drainage port. Ensure a secure connection to prevent leaks.
  4. Direct the other end of the hose to a suitable drain (e.g., floor drain, large bucket, sink). Ensure the hose is sloped downwards to allow gravity to drain the water. Do not allow the hose to be kinked or blocked.
  5. Once connected, the unit will continuously drain water, bypassing the internal water tank.

6. Maintenance
