5. Setup and Installation
The DewinLVD Smart Circuit Breaker is designed for DIN rail installation. Follow these steps for proper setup:
- Mounting: Securely mount the circuit breaker onto a standard DIN rail in your electrical distribution box.
- Wiring:
- Connect the incoming live wire to the terminal labeled "Connect live wire" (typically the top left terminal).
- Connect the incoming neutral wire to the terminal labeled "Connect neutral wire" (typically the top right terminal).
- Connect the outgoing live wire to the bottom left terminal.
- Connect the outgoing neutral wire to the bottom right terminal.
- Ensure all connections are tight with a torque of 2.5 Nm. Refer to the wiring diagram on the device for precise connections.
- Power On: After all connections are made and checked, restore power to the circuit.
- Initial Test: Press the "Test" button to verify the leakage protection function. The circuit breaker should trip. Reset it by moving the operating handle to the ON position.

6. Operating Instructions
The circuit breaker offers both manual and smart control options.
6.1 Manual Operation
- To turn the power ON, push the operating handle upwards.
- To turn the power OFF, pull the operating handle downwards.
- In case of a fault, the circuit breaker will trip automatically, and the operating handle will move to the OFF position.
6.2 Automatic and Overhaul Modes
The device features an automatic switch button to select the operating mode:
- Automatic Mode: When the button is in "Auto" mode, the circuit breaker's ON/OFF status can be controlled remotely via the Tuya App. This mode allows for automatic reclosing after certain fault conditions are cleared.
- Overhaul Mode: When the button is in "Overhaul" mode, remote control via the Tuya App is disabled. The circuit breaker can only be operated manually using the operating handle. This mode is intended for maintenance or situations where remote control is not desired.
6.3 Tuya App Remote Control
To utilize the smart features, download and configure the "Tuya" or "Smart Life" application on your mobile device.
- Download App: Search for "Tuya Smart" or "Smart Life" in your mobile app store (iOS or Android) and install it.
- Register/Login: Create an account or log in to your existing account.
- Add Device: Follow the in-app instructions to add a new device. Ensure your circuit breaker is in Automatic Mode and its indicator light is flashing blue (network status).
- Remote Control: Once connected, you can remotely control the circuit breaker's ON/OFF function, monitor voltage, current, power consumption, and internal temperature from anywhere with an internet connection.

Figure 6.1: Tuya App interface displaying controls and real-time data for the circuit breaker, including main switch, residual current, total power consumption, temperature, today's power consumption, voltage, and current.
Note on App Control:
- When the circuit breaker is in Auto mode, its closing and opening can be controlled by the APP.
- When the circuit breaker is in Overhaul mode, the closing or opening command controlled by the APP will be invalid, and the circuit breaker switch can only be opened and closed manually.
- Remote operation control through "TUYA" "Smart Life" APP enables global shutdown/on functionality.
7. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and reliable operation of your circuit breaker.
- Cleaning: Periodically clean the exterior of the device with a dry, soft cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or solvents.
- Connection Check: Annually, or as needed, verify that all wiring connections are secure and free from corrosion. Ensure power is disconnected before checking connections.
- Function Test: Regularly perform a manual test of the leakage protection by pressing the "Test" button. The device should trip. If it does not, the device may be faulty and requires inspection by a qualified electrician.
- Firmware Updates: Check the Tuya App periodically for any available firmware updates for the device to ensure optimal performance and security.
