1. Product Overview

The KXWDKJ Kitchen Island is a versatile and mobile furniture piece designed to enhance kitchen and dining spaces. It features ample storage, a convenient power outlet, and a space-saving drop leaf design, making it ideal for various culinary and social activities.

2. Safety Information

• Always ensure all components are securely fastened before use.
• Do not overload drawers or shelves beyond their specified weight limits. Refer to the Specifications section for load capacities.
• Keep children and pets away during assembly to prevent injury.
• Use the locking wheels when the island needs to remain stationary to prevent accidental movement.
• Do not expose the power outlet to water or excessive moisture. Unplug appliances when not in use.
• Handle tempered glass doors with care during assembly and use.

3. Package Contents

Before beginning assembly, verify that all parts listed below are present and undamaged.

• 1 x Kitchen Island Cart (main frame, countertop, drawers, cabinet doors, shelves)

4. Assembly Instructions (Setup)

Assembly is required for this product. It is recommended to have at least two people for assembly. Please follow the steps carefully.

1. Unpack and Identify Parts: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Lay them out on a clean, soft surface to prevent scratches. Identify each part using the provided parts list (if included in physical manual).
2. Assemble the Base Frame: Connect the side panels and bottom panel using the provided hardware. Ensure all connections are secure.
3. Install Wheels: Attach the 5 universal wheels to the bottom of the island base. Ensure the 2 lockable wheels are positioned where they are easily accessible for locking. The central wheel provides enhanced stability.

4. Install Cabinet Dividers and Shelves: Insert the internal dividers and adjustable shelves into the cabinet sections. The adjustable shelves allow for customization of storage space.
5. Assemble Drawers: Follow the instructions to assemble the three drawers. Install the drawer slides onto the island frame and the drawers.
6. Attach Cabinet Doors: Install the hinges onto the cabinet doors and then attach the doors to the island frame. The two middle cabinet doors are made of tempered glass.

7. Install Side Racks: Attach the five open side racks to the designated areas on the island.
8. Attach Countertop: Carefully place and secure the countertop onto the assembled base. Ensure the drop leaf mechanism is correctly aligned.
9. Install Power Outlet: Mount the power outlet unit into its designated slot on the side of the island. Route the power cord safely.
10. Final Check: Verify that all screws and fasteners are tightened. Ensure the island is stable and all moving parts (drawers, doors, drop leaf, wheels) operate smoothly.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Utilizing Storage Space

The kitchen island provides diverse storage options:

• Drawers: Use the three spacious drawers for cutlery, utensils, or smaller kitchen gadgets.
• Cabinet Doors: The four cabinet doors (two with tempered glass) open to reveal adjustable shelves. Adjust shelf height to accommodate items of various sizes, such as pots, pans, or small appliances. The clear glass doors allow for easy visibility of contents.
• Open Side Racks: The five open side racks are ideal for frequently accessed items like spices, cookbooks, or decorative pieces.

5.2. Using the Drop Leaf Countertop

The drop leaf design allows for flexible use of the countertop space:

• Extend: To extend the drop leaf, gently lift the leaf until it is level with the main countertop and secure it with the supporting mechanism (if applicable). This creates an expanded surface for meal preparation, dining, or as a breakfast bar.
• Fold: To fold the drop leaf, release the supporting mechanism and gently lower the leaf. This optimizes space in smaller kitchens when the extended surface is not needed.

5.3. Power Outlet Usage

The integrated power station provides convenient access to electricity:

• Plug the island's main power cord into a standard 120V wall outlet.
• Use the 3 AC outlets for kitchen appliances such as coffee makers, blenders, or toasters.
• Utilize the 1 USB-A port and 1 TYPE-C port for charging mobile devices or other USB-powered gadgets.
• Ensure total power draw does not exceed 12A.

5.4. Moving and Locking the Island

The island is equipped with 5 universal wheels for easy mobility:

• Moving: To move the island, ensure the two lockable wheels are in the unlocked position. Gently push the island to its desired location.
• Locking: To secure the island in place, push down the locking levers on the two lockable wheels until they click into position. This prevents accidental movement during use.

• Cleaning: Wipe surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals that may damage the finish. For the wooden countertop, use a wood-safe cleaner.
• Glass Doors: Clean tempered glass doors with a glass cleaner and a lint-free cloth.
• Hardware: Periodically check all screws and fasteners to ensure they remain tight. Retighten if necessary.
• Wheels: Keep wheels free of debris to ensure smooth movement.
