4. Installation Guide
Proper installation is crucial for optimal performance and safety. If you are unsure about any steps, consult a professional installer.
4.1 Head Unit Dimensions and Screen Adjustment
The head unit has a standard single DIN installation size of 178mm x 50mm (7.0 x 1.97 inches). The detachable screen offers flexibility in positioning.

4.2 Wiring Description
Carefully follow the wiring diagram to connect the car stereo to your vehicle's electrical system. Incorrect wiring can cause damage.

Key Wiring Connections:
- Yellow (B+): Connect to constant +12V power supply.
- Red (ACC): Connect to +12V accessory power (switched with ignition).
- Black (GND): Connect to vehicle chassis ground.
- Orange (ILL): Connect to vehicle illumination wire.
- Blue (ANT): Connect to auto antenna or amplifier remote turn-on.
- Speaker Wires: Connect to corresponding vehicle speakers (Front Left, Front Right, Rear Left, Rear Right). Ensure correct polarity.
- Brown (SWC): Connect to steering wheel control input wire (if applicable).
- Purple (BACK): Connect to reversing light positive for backup camera trigger.
4.3 Backup Camera Connection
Connect the included 12LED backup camera for automatic rear view display when reversing.

- Connect the camera's video output (yellow RCA) to the 'CAMIN' input on the car stereo.
- Connect the camera's power wire (red) to the vehicle's reversing light positive (+12V).
- Connect the camera's ground wire (black) to a suitable ground point.
- Connect the trigger wire (labeled 'back' or 'reverse' on the power cable harness) to the reversing light positive.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Power On/Off and Basic Controls
- Power On: The unit will power on automatically when the vehicle's ignition is turned on (ACC power).
- Power Off: The unit will power off automatically when the vehicle's ignition is turned off.
- Volume Control: Use the physical knob or touchscreen controls to adjust volume.
- Home Screen: Tap the 'Home' icon on the screen to return to the main menu.

5.2 Radio Operation (FM/RDS)
- From the home screen, tap the 'Radio' icon.
- Use the on-screen controls to scan for stations, manually tune, or select preset stations.
- RDS (Radio Data System) features will display station information where available.

5.3 Bluetooth Connectivity
Pair your smartphone via Bluetooth for hands-free calling and audio streaming.
- From the home screen, tap the 'Bluetooth' icon.
- On your smartphone, search for available Bluetooth devices and select 'MAHVEC' (or similar name).
- Confirm the pairing code on both devices if prompted.
- Once connected, you can make/receive calls and stream music through the car stereo.

5.4 USB/AUX Playback
- USB: Insert a USB drive into the USB port. The unit will automatically detect and play compatible media files.
- AUX: Connect an external audio device using a 3.5mm AUX cable to the AUX input. Select 'AUX' from the source menu.

6. Advanced Features
6.1 Wired CarPlay & Android Auto
Connect your iPhone or Android smartphone via a USB cable to enable CarPlay or Android Auto. This allows access to navigation, music, messages, and more directly on the stereo screen.

6.2 Mirror Link
Mirror Link allows you to display your smartphone's screen directly onto the car stereo. Connect your phone via USB and follow the on-screen prompts to activate.
6.3 GPS Navigation
Utilize GPS functionality through CarPlay or Android Auto for turn-by-turn navigation using your preferred map applications.

6.4 Steering Wheel Control (SWC) Setup

- Access the 'Steering Wheel Control' settings menu.

6.5 Backup Camera Display
When the vehicle is shifted into reverse, the car stereo will automatically display the feed from the connected backup camera.
