1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the IMIPAW Automatic Pet Feeder. This device is designed to provide a convenient and reliable feeding solution for your pets, ensuring they receive meals on a consistent schedule with precise portion control. This manual will guide you through the setup, operation, and maintenance of your new feeder.

  • Timed & Portion-Controlled Feeding: Schedule up to 6 meals per day, with adjustable portions from 5g to 100g (approximately 1-20 portions).
  • Food-Grade Material: Constructed from safe, food-grade ABS plastic for your pet's health.
  • Easy to Clean: Detachable and washable food bowl for hygienic feeding. The main body can be wiped clean.
  • 30-Second Auto-Lock: Prevents accidental changes to settings and deters curious pets from tampering with the controls.

2. Product Components

3. Setup Guide

  1. Unpack the Feeder: Carefully remove all components from the packaging.
  2. Assemble the Food Tray: Attach the detachable food tray to the main feeder body. Ensure it clicks securely into place.
  3. Install Batteries (Optional but Recommended): Open the battery compartment at the bottom of the feeder. Insert 3 D-cell batteries (not included) for backup power. Close the compartment securely.
  4. Connect Power: Plug the AC power adapter into the feeder and then into a wall outlet.
  5. Fill the Food Tank: Twist the lid counter-clockwise to open. Pour dry pet food (kibble size 2-10mm) into the food tank. Do not overfill. Twist the lid clockwise to close and secure.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1. Control Panel Overview

The control panel features a digital display, lock button, up/down arrows, and a SET button. The display shows current time, meal number, and portion size.

4.2. Setting Time and Meal Schedule

  1. Unlock the Panel: Press and hold the 'Lock' button for 3 seconds to unlock the control panel. The lock icon on the display will change.
  2. Set Current Time: Press 'SET' to enter time setting mode. Use the 'Up' and 'Down' arrows to adjust hours and minutes. Press 'SET' to confirm each adjustment.
  3. Program Meals: After setting the time, press 'SET' again to cycle through meal settings (M1 to M6). For each meal:
    • Use 'Up'/'Down' arrows to set the desired feeding time.
    • Press 'SET' to confirm the time.
    • Use 'Up'/'Down' arrows to set the portion size (1-20 portions, where 1 portion is approximately 5g).
    • Press 'SET' to confirm the portion size and move to the next meal or exit setting mode.
  4. Auto-Lock: The panel will automatically lock after 30 seconds of inactivity to prevent accidental changes.

4.3. Manual Feeding

To dispense food manually, unlock the control panel (press and hold 'Lock' for 3 seconds), then press the 'Up' and 'Down' arrows simultaneously. This will dispense one portion of food immediately.

4.4. Dual Power System

The feeder operates primarily on AC power. For reliable operation during power outages, install 3 D-cell batteries (not included) in the battery compartment. The feeder will automatically switch to battery power if AC power is lost, retaining all programmed settings.

5. Maintenance

5.1. Cleaning

  • Food Tray: The detachable food tray is washable. Remove it from the main body and clean with mild soap and water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely before reattaching.
  • Food Tank: The food tank can be removed for cleaning. Wash with mild soap and water, rinse, and dry completely.
  • Main Body: Wipe the main body of the feeder with a soft, damp cloth. Do not immerse the main body in water.

5.2. Food Storage

Ensure the food tank lid is securely closed to maintain food freshness and prevent pests. The transparent food tank allows for easy monitoring of food levels.

6. Troubleshooting

6.1. Food Size Compatibility

The feeder is designed for dry pet food (kibble) with a diameter between 2mm and 10mm. Using food outside this range may cause jamming or improper dispensing.
