Higher supply voltage and lower speaker impedance generally result in greater output power. Ensure the power supply's capacity exceeds the amplifier's actual working power.
6. Setup Instructions
Follow these steps to correctly set up your ZK-HT21 amplifier module:
- Assembly: If not pre-assembled, attach the copper columns and secure the amplifier board using the provided screws. Install the button caps onto the potentiometers.
- Speaker Connection: Connect your passive stereo speakers to the "R+ L-" and "R- L+" terminals for the left and right channels. Connect your passive subwoofer to the "S+" and "S-" terminals. Ensure correct polarity (+ to + and - to -).
- Power Supply Connection: Connect a DC 15-36V power supply to the power input terminals (either the 5.5x2.1DC header or the 2P terminal). Ensure the power supply is off or unplugged before connecting. Caution: Incorrect polarity can damage the device.
- Audio Input Connection:
- AUX Input: Connect your audio source (e.g., smartphone, PC) to the "AUX-IN" 3.5mm jack using an audio cable.
- USB Input: Connect a USB device containing audio files to the "USB IN" port.
- Bluetooth Input: No physical connection needed. This mode will be selected via the dial button.
- Initial Power On: Once all connections are secure, turn the "MAIN VOL" knob clockwise to power on the amplifier.

8. Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your ZK-HT21 amplifier module, follow these maintenance guidelines:
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the surface of the module. Do not use liquid cleaners or solvents, as they may damage the components.
- Ventilation: Ensure the cooling fan and ventilation openings are free from dust and obstructions. Proper airflow is crucial for preventing overheating.
- Storage: When not in use for extended periods, store the module in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Power Off: Always power off the module and disconnect the power supply before performing any cleaning or making changes to connections.
9. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your ZK-HT21 amplifier module, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
- No Power:
- Ensure the power supply is correctly connected and providing DC 15-36V.
- Check if the "MAIN VOL" knob is turned clockwise past the click to power on.
- Verify the power adapter is functional.
- No Sound Output:
- Check all speaker connections for correct polarity and secure fit.
- Ensure the correct input mode (AUX, Bluetooth, USB) is selected using the dial button.
- Increase the "MAIN VOL" knob.
- If using Bluetooth, ensure the device is paired and playing audio.
- If using AUX/USB, ensure the audio source is playing and its volume is adequate.
- Distorted Sound:
- Reduce the input volume from your audio source.
- Ensure the power supply voltage and current are sufficient for the desired output level.
- Check speaker impedance compatibility (4-8Ω).
- Bluetooth Pairing Issues:
- Ensure the module is in Bluetooth mode.
- Move your audio device closer to the amplifier (within 15 meters, unobstructed).
- Try unpairing and re-pairing the device.
- Restart both the amplifier and your audio device.
- Overheating:
- Ensure adequate ventilation around the module.
- Check that the cooling fan is operating correctly and not obstructed.
- Reduce the output volume if operating at very high levels for extended periods.
10. Safety Information
Observe the following safety precautions to prevent damage to the device or injury to yourself:
- Power Supply: Only use a DC 15-36V power supply. Using an incorrect voltage or AC power can severely damage the module. Ensure the power supply can provide sufficient current for your speakers.
- Polarity: Always connect power and speaker wires with correct polarity.
- Ventilation: Do not block the cooling fan or ventilation holes. Operate the module in a well-ventilated area.
- Environment: Avoid exposing the module to moisture, water, extreme temperatures, or direct sunlight.
- Disassembly: Do not attempt to disassemble or modify the module beyond the specified assembly steps. Unauthorized modifications can void the warranty and pose safety risks.
- Protection Mechanisms: The module includes anti-reverse connection, undervoltage, overheating, overcurrent, and short-circuit protection. While these features enhance safety, they are not substitutes for careful operation.
