1. Introduction

This manual provides detailed instructions for the proper setup, operation, and maintenance of your LIGE Chronograph Watch. Please read this manual thoroughly to ensure optimal performance and longevity of your timepiece. Keep this manual for future reference.

2. Product Overview

The LIGE Chronograph Watch features a multi-functional dial with chronograph capabilities, a 24-hour indicator, and a date display. Understanding the components will assist in its operation.

Key Components:

• Crown (A): Used for setting time and date.
• Pusher (B): Top button, typically used to start/stop the chronograph.
• Pusher (C): Bottom button, typically used to reset the chronograph.

• Subdials: Typically include a 24-hour indicator, chronograph minute counter, and chronograph second counter.

3. Setup

3.1 Setting the Time

1. Pull the crown (A) out to the second click position. The second hand will stop.
2. Rotate the crown to adjust the hour and minute hands to the correct time. Ensure the 24-hour subdial also reflects the correct AM/PM period.
3. Push the crown back in to the normal position. The second hand will resume movement.

3.2 Setting the Date

1. Pull the crown (A) out to the first click position.
2. Rotate the crown clockwise or counter-clockwise (depending on the movement) to set the correct date. Avoid setting the date between 9 PM and 3 AM, as this can interfere with the automatic date change mechanism.
3. Push the crown back in to the normal position.

3.3 Adjusting the Strap

The watch comes with a leather strap. To adjust the fit, use the buckle mechanism. If the strap is too long, it may require professional adjustment or replacement. Ensure the strap is securely fastened to prevent the watch from falling.

4. Operating the Chronograph

The chronograph function allows you to measure elapsed time independently of the main time display.

4.1 Starting and Stopping the Chronograph

1. Press pusher (B) once to start the chronograph. The chronograph second hand will begin to move.
2. Press pusher (B) again to stop the chronograph. The chronograph hands will stop, indicating the elapsed time.

4.2 Resetting the Chronograph

1. After stopping the chronograph (as described above), press pusher (C) to reset all chronograph hands to their zero positions.
2. Note: Do not press pusher (C) while the chronograph is running, as this may damage the movement.

4.3 Subdial Functions

• 24-Hour Indicator: This subdial displays the current time in a 24-hour format, often with a sun/moon or day/night indication. It synchronizes with the main hour hand.
• Chronograph Minute Counter: This subdial records the elapsed minutes when the chronograph is active.
• Chronograph Second Counter: This subdial records the elapsed seconds when the chronograph is active. (Note: The large central second hand is typically the chronograph second hand, while a small subdial often serves as the running seconds for the main time).

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning

To maintain the appearance of your watch, wipe the case and crystal with a soft, dry cloth. For the leather strap, avoid excessive moisture and clean with a specialized leather cleaner if necessary.

5.2 Water Resistance

This watch is designed with a certain level of water resistance. Please refer to the markings on the watch case back for specific water resistance ratings (e.g., 3ATM, 5ATM). Generally, avoid exposing the watch to hot water, steam, or chemical substances. Do not operate the crown or pushers when the watch is wet.

5.3 Battery Replacement

The watch is powered by a quartz movement and requires a battery. When the watch stops or the second hand begins to skip (if applicable), the battery may need replacement. It is recommended to have the battery replaced by a qualified watch technician to ensure proper sealing and function.

5.4 Storage

When not in use, store your watch in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Keeping it in its original box or a watch case can protect it from dust and scratches.

6. Troubleshooting

• Watch Not Running:
  Ensure the crown is fully pushed in. If the watch still does not run, the battery may need replacement.
• Time Inaccurate:
  Check if the crown is fully pushed in. If the time is consistently inaccurate, the watch may require servicing.
• Chronograph Hands Not Resetting to Zero:
  If the chronograph hands do not return to their zero positions after pressing pusher (C), a simple reset procedure might be needed. Consult a professional watch repair service if the issue persists.
• Date Not Changing:
  Ensure the time is set correctly, especially the AM/PM cycle for the 24-hour indicator. Avoid setting the date during the automatic change period (9 PM - 3 AM).
