Setup

1. Battery Installation (Battery Not Included)

4. To remove, press the battery release button and slide the battery pack out.

2. Blade Installation and Removal

1. Ensure the battery pack is removed from the saw before installing or removing a blade.
2. Locate the blade clamp lever on the front of the saw.
3. Rotate the blade clamp lever counter-clockwise to open the blade clamp jaws.
4. Insert the shank of the reciprocating saw blade fully into the blade clamp opening.
5. Rotate the blade clamp lever clockwise to securely close the clamp jaws. Tug gently on the blade to ensure it is firmly seated.
6. To remove the blade, reverse the process: rotate the lever counter-clockwise, pull the blade out, and then release the lever.

Operating Instructions

1. Powering On/Off

• To turn on the saw, depress the trigger switch. The saw will begin to operate.
• To turn off the saw, release the trigger switch.
• For continuous operation, some models may feature a lock-on button. Consult your specific model's features.

2. Adjusting the Pivoting Shoe

The pivoting shoe can be adjusted to provide better control and extend blade life by utilizing different sections of the blade. To adjust:

3. The shoe will automatically adjust its angle during operation to maintain contact with the workpiece.

3. Cutting Techniques

• General Cutting: Place the shoe firmly against the workpiece. Start the saw before the blade contacts the material. Maintain a firm grip and guide the saw through the cut with steady pressure.
• Plunge Cutting (Wood Only): For plunge cuts in wood, tilt the saw forward so the shoe rests on the workpiece and the blade tip is clear. Start the saw, then slowly pivot the saw downward until the blade penetrates the material.
• Metal Cutting: Use a fine-tooth metal-cutting blade. Apply cutting fluid to prolong blade life and improve cutting performance. Maintain moderate pressure and allow the saw to do the work.
• Avoid Overloading: Do not force the saw. If the motor slows down significantly, reduce pressure.

• Cleaning: After each use, clean the saw with a soft, damp cloth. Remove any sawdust or debris from the ventilation openings and blade clamp area. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
