1. Introduction

The MIMOUSE EM4AI Wireless AI Mouse is an ergonomic device designed to enhance productivity through advanced artificial intelligence features. It integrates voice typing, live transcription, real-time translation, and instant summarization capabilities, powered by various AI models. This manual provides detailed instructions for setup, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal use of your device.

2. Package Contents

Please verify that all items are present in your package:

3. Setup & Installation

3.1 Connecting the Mouse

The MIMOUSE EM4AI supports both 2.4G USB receiver and Bluetooth connections.

3.1.1 USB Receiver Connection

1. Remove the USB receiver from the mouse's storage compartment.
2. Insert the USB receiver into an available USB port on your computer.
3. Turn on the mouse's power switch (located on the underside).
4. Short press the mode switch button until the indicator LED light turns red, indicating receiver mode is active.
5. The mouse should now be connected and ready for use.

3.1.2 Bluetooth Connection

1. Turn on the mouse's power switch (located on the underside).
2. Short press the mode switch button to cycle through Bluetooth 1 (blue LED) or Bluetooth 2 (purple LED) modes.
3. Long press the mode switch button for 3 seconds until the blue tail LED light flashes, indicating Bluetooth pairing mode.
4. On your computer, navigate to Bluetooth settings and add a new device.
5. Select "EM4 AI" or "MiMouse EM4 AI" from the list of available devices to connect.
6. Once connected, the LED light will stop flashing.

3.2 Software Installation

The MIMOUSE EM4AI requires dedicated software for its AI features. There are two methods to download and install the software:

3.2.1 Download via Mouse Voice Button (Windows Only)

1. Long press the mouse's voice button for 3 seconds.
2. A download prompt for the software will appear on your Windows system. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the download and installation.

3.2.2 Download from MIMOUSE Website

1. Open your web browser and navigate to the official MIMOUSE download page: https://global.mimouse.com/download.html
2. Select the appropriate software version for your operating system (Windows or macOS).
3. Download the installation package.
4. Run the installer and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the installation.
5. For macOS users: After installation, you may need to grant accessibility and input monitoring permissions to the M-AI software in your Mac's System Settings (Privacy & Security > Accessibility and Input Monitoring) to ensure full functionality.

4. Operating Instructions (Button Functions)

The MIMOUSE EM4AI features several dedicated buttons for its AI functionalities:

4.1 Voice Button (Voice Typing)

The Voice button allows for voice-to-text conversion.

• Long Press: Press and hold the Voice button to speak. Release the button when you finish speaking. Your spoken words will be converted to text in your active application.
• Short Press: A short press of the Voice button will also initiate voice typing.

4.2 Translation Button

The Translation button facilitates text and voice translation.

• Text Translation: Select the text you wish to translate on your screen. Then, short press the Translation button. The software will automatically translate the selected text.
• Voice Translation: In the M-AI software settings, select your input and output languages. Then, press and hold the Translation button to speak. Your voice will be converted and translated into the chosen output language.

4.3 Screenshot Button

The Screenshot button allows for quick screen captures and text recognition.

• Single Click: Press the Screenshot button once to activate the screenshot tool. Drag to select the desired area. The captured image can be saved, and any text within the screenshot can be recognized and translated.

4.4 AI Button

The AI button provides direct access to the M-AI assistant.

• Long Press: Press and hold the AI button to ask questions directly to the M-AI assistant, or to initiate tasks like creating PPTs or Excel sheets. The AI software will process your request automatically.

5. AI Software Functions

The MIMOUSE EM4AI integrates with a centralized AI software platform offering various tools:

5.1 M-AI (AI Chat)

The M-AI feature allows you to engage in intelligent conversations with the AI assistant. Input your questions into the provided box and click "Send". The AI will provide intelligent answers. You can regenerate answers, edit them, copy text, or start a new session for a different topic.

5.2 AI Writing

AI Writing assists in generating various types of content, including creative stories, meeting notes, recommendation letters, work summaries, project proposals, and more. You can select a writing assistant based on your needs, input your requirements, choose language, writing style, and word count, then click "Start writing" to generate content. You can also edit existing content using options like Extension, Expansion, Shorten, Refine, and Rewrite.

5.3 AI PPT

AI PPT enables the creation of professional presentations from various inputs:

• Generate PPT: Input a command or specific parameters to generate a new PPT.
• Outline to PPT: Manually edit an outline or upload your own PPT outline (following the sample format) to generate a presentation.
• Word to PPT: Upload a Word document. The software can optimize the content or convert it directly to a PPT.
• PDF to PPT: Upload a PDF document to convert it into a PPT.

For all AI PPT functions, you can specify the number of slides, include user information, and upload reference materials. After generation, you can preview the PPT, change templates, and download it. If not satisfied, you can regenerate the PPT.

5.4 AI Excel

AI Excel helps create practical Excel forms. You can input your requirements for an Excel sheet (e.g., "employee salary sheet") and click "Send". The AI will generate the sheet. You can then export the document or download the sheet in various chart formats (No Chart, Line Chart, Column Chart, Pie Chart).

5.5 AI Image

AI Image allows you to generate images based on your descriptions. You can input specific requirements for the image, choose painting styles (e.g., Cute, Realistic, Cartoon), and painting views. Click "Generate image" to create a new image. If you are not satisfied, you can regenerate, copy, or export the image.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Charging

The MIMOUSE EM4AI features a long-lasting rechargeable battery with a battery life of approximately 30 days. It uses a USB-C charging port located at the front of the mouse. Connect the provided USB-C cable to the mouse and a power source to charge. Do not use fast charging.

6.2 Cleaning

To clean your mouse, use a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials that could damage the surface or internal components.

• Connectivity Issues: Ensure the mouse is powered on and in the correct mode (red LED for USB receiver, blue/purple LED for Bluetooth). For Bluetooth, ensure your computer's Bluetooth is enabled and the mouse is properly paired.
• Software Not Functioning: Verify that the M-AI software is correctly installed and that all necessary permissions (especially on macOS) have been granted. Ensure your operating system meets the minimum requirements (Windows 7/8/10/11, macOS 10.15 and above/Linux).
• Voice Typing/Translation Not Working: Check the microphone on the mouse and your computer. Ensure the correct input/output languages are selected in the M-AI software.
• Battery Life: If battery life is shorter than expected, ensure you are not using fast charging and that the mouse is fully charged before use.
