Operation

Once installed, the idle down valve system automatically controls the engine's idle speed, reducing fuel consumption and noise when the pressure washer is not actively spraying. This system is designed to engage when the spray gun trigger is released and disengage when the trigger is pulled, allowing the engine to return to full operating speed.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and proper function of your idle down valve and pressure washer. Inspect the cable and valve assembly periodically for signs of wear, corrosion, or damage. Ensure the cable moves freely and is not kinked or obstructed. Keep the area around the valve clean from debris.

  • Check all bolted connections for proper torque, especially the Banjo Bolt, to prevent loosening or breakage.
  • Clean any dirt or grime from the valve and cable to ensure smooth operation.
  • If the idle down function becomes erratic, inspect the cable for binding or the valve for internal obstruction.
