1. Introduction

This manual provides essential information for the proper use and maintenance of your Xiaomi Redmi A5 4G LTE smartphone. Please read this manual carefully before using the device to ensure optimal performance and longevity.

The Redmi A5 features a 32MP AI dual camera, an immersive 6.88-inch display, secure fingerprint and face unlock, and a massive 5200mAh battery. It is powered by an octa-core processor, designed for a smooth and responsive user experience.

Note: The power adapter is not included and must be purchased separately.

3. Setup

3.1. SIM Card Installation

1. Locate the SIM card tray on the side of the device.
2. Insert the SIM eject tool into the small hole next to the tray and press gently until the tray pops out.
3. Place your Nano-SIM card(s) and/or microSD card into the designated slots on the tray. Ensure the gold contacts face downwards.
4. Carefully reinsert the tray into the phone until it clicks into place.

Important: This device is designed for specific network compatibility. Please ensure your carrier is compatible before inserting a SIM card.

3.2. Powering On/Off

• To Power On: Press and hold the Power button until the Xiaomi logo appears.
• To Power Off: Press and hold the Power button until the power options menu appears, then select "Power off".
• To Restart: Press and hold the Power button until the power options menu appears, then select "Restart".

3.3. Initial Setup Wizard

Upon first power-on, the device will guide you through an initial setup process. This includes selecting your language, connecting to Wi-Fi, setting up your Google account, and configuring security features like fingerprint and face unlock.

The Redmi A5 features a 6.88-inch display with a resolution of 1640x720 pixels and 260 ppi. It supports a refresh rate of up to 120Hz for smoother visuals in supported applications. The display also incorporates DC dimming, low blue light, and flicker-free technology for comfortable viewing, even during extended use.
