Setup
Unboxing and Placement
Upon receiving your KingChii humidor, carefully remove it from its packaging. Place the unit in an open room with adequate air circulation. Avoid building it into any type of enclosure like a cabinet, as it relies on ambient air for cooling. Ensure there is sufficient space around the unit for proper ventilation.
Initial Power-On
Plug the power cord into a suitable electrical outlet. The digital display on the touch panel will illuminate, showing the current temperature and humidity settings. The unit will begin to stabilize to its default settings or the last set parameters.
Seasoning the Humidor
It is crucial to season your humidor before adding any cigars to ensure proper humidity levels and prevent damage to your collection. Follow these steps:
- Remove all items from the humidor, including shelves and the moisture container.
- Wipe the interior of the unit, including the cedar shelves and drawers, with a sponge or cloth dampened with distilled water. Ensure no standing water remains.
- Fill the included moisture container (or a sponge) with distilled water. Place it inside the humidor, ensuring the water does not directly touch the wood.
- Close the humidor door and allow it to sit for at least 24-48 hours. Monitor the hygrometer reading. The process may take up to three days.
- Once the hygrometer reads between 65%-75% RH, your humidor is seasoned and ready for cigars.

Maintenance
Cleaning
Regularly wipe the interior of the humidor with a clean, damp cloth (using distilled water) to prevent dust buildup and maintain hygiene. The double-layer mirror glass door is wear-resistant and easy to clean with a soft cloth.
Humidification Refill
Monitor the water level in the moisture container. Refill with distilled water as needed to maintain the desired humidity range. Ensure the water does not directly contact the cedar wood.

Troubleshooting
- Humidity Too High: If the hygrometer reads above 75% RH, remove the moisture container and expose it to air to allow some water to evaporate.
- Humidity Too Low: If the hygrometer reads below 60% RH, refill the moisture container with distilled water.
- Temperature Not Stable: Ensure the unit is placed in an open area with good air circulation and not enclosed in a cabinet. Verify that the vents are not blocked.
- Unit Not Powering On: Check the power cord connection and ensure the outlet is functioning correctly.
