To ensure efficient cooling, it is crucial to properly install the exhaust duct to vent hot air outside the room.

  1. Attach the exhaust nozzle to the main unit's exhaust outlet.
  2. Connect one end of the exhaust duct to the exhaust nozzle.
  3. Connect the duct end to the other end of the exhaust duct.

4.1 Operating Modes

The spot cooler offers four distinct operating modes:

Three modes of COSTWAY Portable Spot Cooler: Cooling, Dehumidification, Fan

Image: This image illustrates the three primary modes of the COSTWAY Portable Spot Cooler: Cooling (16-32°C), Dehumidification (30L/day), and Fan (Weak/Strong). The unit can effectively cool a room, remove excess moisture, or simply circulate air.

  • Cooling Mode:

Provides powerful cooling. Temperature can be set between 16℃ and 32℃. The unit will stop cooling if the room temperature falls below the set temperature. Cooling capacity is 2.0kW, suitable for 6-8 tatami mats, with an airflow of 330m³/h.

  • Dehumidification Mode:

Removes excess moisture from the air, helping to prevent condensation and mold growth. This mode operates only at low fan speed, and temperature cannot be set. It can also be used for drying laundry indoors.

  • Fan Mode:

Circulates air without cooling. You can select between weak and strong fan speeds.

  • Sleep Mode:

Available only in Cooling Mode. When activated, the LED panel dims. The unit will gradually increase the set temperature by 1℃ per hour for the first two hours, after which the temperature will remain constant. The fan speed automatically switches to low for quiet operation. The unit will automatically turn off after 12 hours.

4.2 Timer Function

The 24-hour timer allows you to set specific start and stop times for the unit, providing convenience and energy saving.

4.3 No-Drain Design (Self-Evaporation)

The unit features a self-evaporation system that uses recovered water to cool the condenser coil, enhancing efficiency. Under normal cooling operation (except in very dry or high humidity conditions), there is no need to manually empty the drain tank as condensate evaporates and is discharged through the exhaust duct.

For continuous operation or unattended dehumidification, connect the included drain hose to the unit. Condensate will then be automatically discharged into a bucket or by gravity.
