Welcome to the user manual for your Philips Shaver Series 3000. This electric shaver is designed to provide a comfortable and clean shave, even on sensitive skin. Setup

Charging the Shaver

Before first use, fully charge your Philips Shaver. A full charge takes approximately 1 hour and provides up to 60 minutes of cordless shaving time.

  1. Ensure the shaver is completely dry before connecting it to the charger.
  2. Insert the small plug of the charging cable into the shaver's charging port.
  3. Plug the USB end of the charging cable into a compatible USB power adapter (not always included) and then into a wall outlet.
  4. The battery indicator on the shaver will show charging progress. Once fully charged, the indicator will typically show a solid light or turn off.

Quick Charge: A 5-minute quick charge provides enough power for one shave.

Operating Instructions

Shaving Your Face

The Philips Shaver Series 3000 can be used for both dry and wet shaving.

Dry Shaving:

  • Ensure your face is clean and dry.
  • Press the power button to turn on the shaver.
  • Move the shaver in small, circular motions over your skin.
  • Stretch your skin with your free hand to make the hairs stand upright for a closer shave.

Wet Shaving (with foam or gel):

  • Wet your face with warm water.
  • Apply shaving foam or gel to your skin.
  • Press the power button to turn on the shaver.
  • Move the shaver in small, circular motions over your skin.
  • Rinse the shaver head under running water during shaving to prevent clogging.
  • After shaving, rinse your face and the shaver thoroughly.

Using the Pop-up Trimmer

The integrated pop-up trimmer is ideal for refining sideburns, mustaches, and detailing your beard.

  1. Locate the pop-up trimmer release button on the back of the shaver.
  2. Slide the button upwards to activate the trimmer.
  3. Hold the shaver with the trimmer facing your skin at a 90-degree angle.
  4. Carefully trim and shape as desired.
  5. Push the trimmer back down to retract it when finished.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and hygiene of your shaver.

Daily Cleaning (Quick Rinse)

  1. Turn off the shaver.
  2. Press the "One-Touch Open" button to flip open the shaver head.
  3. Rinse the shaver head thoroughly under warm running water.
  4. Shake off excess water and leave the shaver head open to air dry.
  5. Close the shaver head once dry.

Thorough Cleaning (Weekly)

  1. Turn off the shaver and open the shaver head.
  2. Carefully remove the shaving unit from the shaver body.
  3. Disassemble the shaving heads by twisting the retaining ring counter-clockwise.
  4. Rinse each cutter and guard under running water. Do not wipe them dry, as this may damage the coating.
  5. Allow all parts to air dry completely before reassembling.
  6. Reassemble the shaving heads and place the shaving unit back into the shaver body.

Note: For optimal performance, replace the shaving heads approximately every 12 months.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Philips Shaver, refer to the following common solutions:
