2. Setup and Installation
2.1 Package Contents
Verify that all components are present:
- Remote Control Transmitter
- Receiver Unit
- Wall Mount Bracket (optional)
- Screws for Wall Mount (optional)

2.2 Battery Installation (Remote Control)
- Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the remote control.
- Slide the cover open.
- Insert two AAA batteries (not included), ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Slide the cover back into place until it clicks securely.

2.3 Receiver Unit Installation (for qualified electrician)
WARNING: To avoid possible electrical shock, ensure electricity is turned off at the main circuit breaker before installing the receiver unit. Installation should be performed by a qualified electrician.
- Turn off power to the ceiling fan at the circuit breaker.
- Remove the canopy from your Hisummer 42-inch ceiling fan to access the wiring.
- Connect the receiver unit wires to the fan and household wiring according to the wiring diagram provided with your Hisummer 42-inch ceiling fan. Typically:
- Black wire from receiver to fan's black (motor) wire.
- White wire from receiver to fan's white (neutral) wire.
- Blue wire from receiver to fan's blue (light) wire.
- Ground wires (green/bare copper) connected together.
- Carefully tuck the receiver unit into the fan's mounting bracket or canopy, ensuring no wires are pinched.
- Reattach the fan canopy.
- Restore power at the circuit breaker.

2.4 Pairing the Remote Control
After installing the receiver and restoring power, the remote control may need to be paired with the receiver.
- Ensure power to the fan is ON.
- Within 30 seconds of turning on the power, press and hold the "FAN ON/OFF" button on the remote control for 5 seconds.
- The fan light (if applicable) will blink once to indicate successful pairing.
- If pairing fails, turn off the power for 10 seconds, then repeat steps 1-3.
3. Operating Instructions
Familiarize yourself with the buttons on your remote control:

- FAN ON/OFF: Press to turn the fan on or off.
- FAN SPEED (1, 2, 3): Press to cycle through low (1), medium (2), and high (3) fan speeds.
- LIGHT ON/OFF: Press to turn the fan light on or off.
- LIGHT DIMMER (if applicable): Press and hold the LIGHT ON/OFF button to dim or brighten the light. Release when desired brightness is reached.
- TIMER (1H, 2H, 4H): Press to set the fan to turn off automatically after 1, 2, or 4 hours.
4. Maintenance
4.1 Battery Replacement
Replace batteries when the remote control's range decreases or if the indicator light (if present) does not illuminate. Refer to Section 2.2 for battery installation instructions.
4.2 Cleaning
Wipe the remote control with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the remote in water.
4.3 Storage
If the remote control will not be used for an extended period, remove the batteries to prevent leakage and corrosion.
