2. Safety Information

  • Do not expose the radio to extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, or high humidity.
  • Avoid dropping or subjecting the radio to strong impacts.
  • Do not attempt to disassemble or modify the radio. This will void the warranty and may cause damage or injury.
  • Keep the radio away from water and other liquids.
  • Use only specified batteries and charging methods. Do not mix different types of batteries or old and new batteries.
  • When using D-cell batteries, ensure the internal rechargeable battery is removed to prevent damage.
  • Clean the radio with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.

  • Telescopic Antenna: Extendable for improved signal reception.

5. Setup

5.1. Battery Installation

The radio comes with a built-in rechargeable lithium battery. For extended use or when the rechargeable battery is depleted, you can use 2x D-cell batteries (not included).

  1. Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the radio.
  2. Slide the cover open.
  3. If using D-cell batteries, ensure the pre-installed rechargeable battery is removed from its slot. Insert 2x D-cell batteries, observing the correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
  4. If using the rechargeable battery, ensure it is securely in its slot.
  5. Close the battery compartment cover until it clicks into place.

5.2. Initial Charging (for rechargeable battery)

Before first use, it is recommended to fully charge the built-in rechargeable battery.

  1. Connect the provided USB Type-C charging cable to the radio's DC 5V port.
  2. Connect the other end of the USB cable to a compatible USB power adapter (not included) or a computer USB port.
  3. The charging indicator light will illuminate (usually red) during charging and turn off or change color when fully charged.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1. Power On/Off and Volume Control

  • To turn the radio ON, rotate the Volume/Power Knob clockwise until you hear a click and the radio powers on.
  • To adjust the volume, continue rotating the Volume/Power Knob clockwise to increase volume or counter-clockwise to decrease volume.
  • To turn the radio OFF, rotate the Volume/Power Knob counter-clockwise until it clicks off.

6.2. Band Selection

  • Use the Band Selection Switch on the front of the radio to choose your desired frequency band: FM, AM, SW1, or SW2.

6.3. Tuning to a Station

  • Extend the Telescopic Antenna for optimal reception, especially for FM and Shortwave bands.
  • Slowly rotate the Tuning Dial (located on the side) to scan through frequencies.
  • Stop rotating when you find a clear signal for your desired station. The frequency will be indicated on the large clear dial.

6.4. Using Headphones

  • For private listening, plug any standard 3.5mm headphones (not included) into the Headphone Jack on the side of the radio.
  • The internal speaker will automatically mute when headphones are connected.

8. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the radio with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosols.
  • Storage: If storing for a long period, remove D-cell batteries (if used) and ensure the rechargeable battery is partially charged (around 50%) to prolong its lifespan. Store in a cool, dry place.
  • Antenna Care: Handle the telescopic antenna gently to prevent bending or breaking.

9. Troubleshooting
