1. Introduction

This manual provides detailed instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of your Tuya Smart Video Doorbell Camera. This device offers 1080P full HD video, two-way audio, and smart features like PIR motion detection and compatibility with smart home ecosystems such as Google Assistant and Amazon Echo Show.

4. Product Overview

The Tuya Smart Video Doorbell Camera features a 1080P COMS sensor, a 150-degree wide-angle lens, and infrared LEDs for night vision. It includes a built-in speaker and microphone for two-way audio communication.

5. Setup

5.1 Charging the Battery

Before first use, fully charge the doorbell's built-in 4400mAh lithium battery using the provided Micro-USB cable. Connect the cable to the doorbell and a 5V/1A USB power adapter (not included). The charging indicator will show the charging status.

5.2 App Installation

Download either the Tuya Smart app or the Smart Life app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store. These apps are required for device setup and remote control.

5.3 Device Pairing

1. Ensure your smartphone is connected to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network (IEEE 802.11 b/g/n).
2. Open the Tuya Smart or Smart Life app and create an account or log in.
3. Follow the in-app instructions to add a new device. Select 'Security & Video Surveillance' > 'Smart Doorbell'.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Two-Way Audio

When a visitor presses the doorbell, you will receive a notification on your smartphone. Open the app to view the live feed and engage in two-way communication with the visitor using the built-in microphone and speaker.

6.2 PIR Motion Detection

The doorbell features Passive Infrared (PIR) motion detection. When motion is detected, the doorbell will trigger an alarm and push a notification to your mobile phone. You can adjust the sensitivity (High/Medium/Low/Off) in the app settings.

6.3 Night Vision

Equipped with 4pcs infrared LEDs (850mm) and an IRCUT double filter, the doorbell automatically switches to night vision mode in low-light conditions, providing clear images even in complete darkness.

6.4 Recording and Storage

The doorbell supports local recording to a Micro SD card (8GB/16GB/32GB/64GB, sold separately). You can configure recording settings in the app, including optional recording time between 15s-45s once the doorbell is triggered. Recorded videos can be played back from your smartphone.

7.1 Battery Management

The built-in 4400mAh battery provides approximately 30 days of standby time with 10 awakenings per day (15 seconds each). Recharge the doorbell when the battery level is low, indicated by the app or a specific LED indicator on the device.

7.2 Cleaning

Wipe the doorbell's exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, as they may damage the finish or electronic components.

7.3 SD Card Management

Periodically check the status of your Micro SD card in the app. If the card is full, older recordings may be overwritten. You can format the SD card through the app if needed.

• Device not connecting to Wi-Fi: Ensure your Wi-Fi is 2.4 GHz. Check Wi-Fi password. Move the doorbell closer to the router.

• Poor video quality: Check your Wi-Fi signal strength. Ensure the camera lens is clean and free from obstructions.
• Battery draining quickly: Reduce PIR motion detection sensitivity or frequency of awakenings. Ensure the doorbell is not in an area with constant motion.
• Two-way audio issues: Check your phone's microphone and speaker settings. Ensure the doorbell's microphone and speaker are not obstructed.
