The PSIIDAN Food Dehydrator is designed for preserving various foods such as fruits, vegetables, meats, and herbs by gently removing moisture through a steady stream of warm air. This process helps create nutrient-dense, shelf-stable snacks and ingredients.
Important Safety Instructions
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following:
- Read all instructions before operating the dehydrator.
- Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
- To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse cord, plugs, or the appliance in water or other liquid.
- Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
- Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts.
- Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner.
- The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may cause injuries.
- Do not use outdoors.
- Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.

Setup
- Unpacking: Carefully remove the dehydrator and all accessories from the packaging. Retain packaging for future storage or transport.
- Inspect Components: Verify that all components are present and undamaged. The package contents include: 12 x Stainless Steel Trays, 1 x Mesh Sheet, 1 x Drip Tray, 1 x Recipe Book, and 1 x User Manual.
- Initial Cleaning: Before first use, wipe the exterior of the unit with a damp cloth. Wash the stainless steel trays, mesh sheet, and drip tray with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely.
- Placement: Place the dehydrator on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface with adequate ventilation around the unit. Ensure it is away from walls or other appliances to allow for proper airflow.
- Tray Installation: Insert the clean, dry stainless steel trays into the dehydrator. Ensure they are properly seated on their respective guides.

Operating Instructions
- Prepare Food: Wash and slice your desired food items evenly. For best results, ensure uniform thickness.
- Load Trays: Arrange the prepared food in a single layer on the stainless steel trays. Do not overlap items to ensure even drying.
- Power On: Plug the dehydrator into a standard 120V AC electrical outlet. Press the power button on the digital control panel.
- Select Settings:
- Using Presets: Select one of the 10 preset programs for common food types (e.g., Apple, Mushroom, Chicken). The dehydrator will automatically set the recommended temperature and time.
- Custom Mode: To manually adjust settings, use the temperature and timer buttons to set your desired drying temperature (95-167°F) and time (1-48 hours).
- Start Dehydration: Press the Start/Pause button to begin the drying process. The internal light can be turned on or off to monitor progress through the glass door.
- Monitor Progress: Periodically check the food for desired dryness. Drying times vary based on food type, thickness, and moisture content.
- Completion: Once drying is complete, the dehydrator will automatically shut off. Unplug the unit and allow the food and trays to cool before handling.

Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular cleaning and maintenance will prolong the life of your dehydrator and ensure optimal performance.
- Before Cleaning: Always unplug the dehydrator from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
- Trays and Drip Tray: The stainless steel trays and drip tray are dishwasher safe for easy cleaning. Alternatively, they can be washed by hand with warm, soapy water and a non-abrasive sponge. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely.
- Mesh Sheet: The mesh sheet should be hand-washed with warm, soapy water.
- Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the dehydrator with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scourers, as they may damage the finish.
- Interior: Wipe the interior surfaces with a damp cloth. For stubborn residue, a mild detergent can be used. Ensure the interior is completely dry before next use.
- Storage: Store the dehydrator in a clean, dry place when not in use.
