Setup and Assembly
Before first use, sterilize all parts that come into contact with breast milk. The Paruu P20 is designed for easy assembly with only four main components.
- Clean and Sterilize: Wash all pump components (flange, collector, silicone diaphragm, valve) with warm soapy water and rinse thoroughly. Sterilize by boiling for 5 minutes or using a steam sterilizer. Ensure all parts are completely dry before assembly.
- Assemble the Flange and Collector: Attach the silicone flange insert (if using a smaller size) into the main flange. Then, connect the assembled flange to the milk collector cup.
- Attach the Diaphragm and Motor Unit: Place the silicone diaphragm securely onto the top of the milk collector. Ensure it forms a tight seal. Then, align the motor unit with the diaphragm and collector, pressing firmly to connect.
- Select Flange Size: Use the provided nipple measurement tool to determine the correct flange size (19mm, 21mm, or 24mm) for optimal comfort and efficiency.
- Charge the Pump: Before initial use, fully charge the pump using the provided USB cable. The LED display will indicate charging status. A full charge provides up to 180 minutes of use.

Maintenance and Cleaning
Proper cleaning and maintenance are crucial for hygiene and the longevity of your breast pump.
- After Each Use: Disassemble all parts that come into contact with breast milk (flange, collector, silicone diaphragm, valve). Wash them immediately with warm soapy water. Use a soft brush to clean hard-to-reach areas. Rinse thoroughly with clean water.
- Sterilization: Sterilize these parts regularly, especially after the first use. Methods include boiling for 5 minutes, using a steam sterilizer, or a dishwasher (top rack only, if dishwasher safe). Refer to the product packaging for specific material compatibility.
- Drying: Air dry all components on a clean drying rack. Avoid using cloth towels as they may leave lint. Ensure all parts are completely dry before reassembly or storage to prevent mold and bacterial growth.
- Motor Unit: The motor unit should not be washed or submerged in water. Wipe it clean with a damp cloth if necessary.
- Storage: Store the clean and dry pump components in a clean, dry place away from direct sunlight and dust.
