GHRERTX Ionizing Air Gun Instruction Manual

Model: GHRERTX

1. Introduction

The GHRERTX Ionizing Air Gun is a handheld device designed for effective static electricity elimination. It neutralizes charges on objects by generating a strong ion wind, which also aids in blowing away dust. This device is suitable for various applications requiring small-scale static electricity removal, such as electronic assembly, laboratories, plastic plate manufacturing, vinyl record cleaning, film packaging, and printing industries.

Key features include a built-in ion needle for efficient ion release, a removable nozzle for easy cleaning, and a lightweight, portable design for comfortable long-term use. The unit operates without the need for an external high-voltage generator.

2. Safety Information

Please read and understand all safety instructions before operating the device. Failure to follow these instructions may result in injury or damage to the product.

  • Power Source: Ensure the power adapter used is DC 24V and matches the specifications.
  • Air Compressor: This device requires an external air compressor. Ensure the air compressor is properly maintained and provides clean, dry, oil-free air. Recommended air pressure range is 0.3-0.7 MPa.
  • Electrical Safety: Do not operate the device with wet hands or in damp environments. Avoid touching the ion needle directly when the device is powered on.
  • Maintenance: Disconnect power and air supply before performing any maintenance or cleaning.
  • Children: Keep the device out of reach of children.
  • Intended Use: Use the device only for its intended purpose of static elimination and dust removal.

3. Setup

The Ionizing Air Gun requires connection to an external air compressor and a power source. Follow these steps for proper setup:

  1. Prepare Air Source: Ensure you have an air compressor capable of providing 0.3-0.7 MPa pressure. The air source must be dry, free of water, and oil. An air filter and flow regulator (not included) are recommended for optimal performance and device longevity.
  2. Connect Air Pipe: Connect an 8mm diameter air pipe (not included) to the air pipe socket on the bottom of the Ionizing Air Gun. Secure the connection to prevent air leaks.
  3. Connect Power: Insert the DC 24V power adapter into the DC24V power socket on the bottom of the Ionizing Air Gun. Plug the power adapter into a suitable electrical outlet.
  4. Verify Connections: Double-check all air and power connections are secure before proceeding to operation.

4. Operating Instructions

Once the device is properly set up, follow these steps to operate the Ionizing Air Gun:

  1. Power On: After connecting the power adapter, the "POWER" indicator light (green) on the gun will illuminate, indicating the device is receiving power.
  2. Activate Air Compressor: Turn on your external air compressor and adjust the pressure to the recommended range of 0.3-0.7 MPa.
  3. Operate Gun: Press the trigger switch on the handle of the Ionizing Air Gun. Air will begin to flow from the nozzle, accompanied by the emission of ions.
  4. Static Removal: Direct the ion wind towards the object requiring static elimination or dust removal. The working distance is typically 100-400mm.
  5. Indicator Lights:
    • Green "POWER" Light: Indicates the device is powered on and working normally.
    • Red "ALARM" Light: If the red light illuminates, it indicates that the ion needle may need to be cleaned or replaced. Refer to the Maintenance section.
  6. Power Off: Release the trigger switch to stop the ion wind. Turn off the air compressor and disconnect the power adapter when finished using the device.

5. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your Ionizing Air Gun.

  • Cleaning the Ion Needle: The ion needle can accumulate dust or debris over time, reducing its effectiveness. The nozzle is removable for easy access to the ion needle.
    1. Ensure the device is powered off and disconnected from the air supply.
    2. Carefully unscrew the removable nozzle from the front of the gun.
    3. Gently clean the ion needle using a soft, dry brush or a cotton swab. Do not use abrasive materials or liquids.
    4. Reattach the nozzle securely after cleaning.
  • General Cleaning: Wipe the exterior of the gun with a clean, dry cloth. Do not use solvents or harsh chemicals.
  • Air Supply Quality: Regularly check and maintain your air compressor and any inline air filters to ensure the air supplied to the gun is clean, dry, and oil-free. Contaminated air can damage the device.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Ionizing Air Gun, refer to the following troubleshooting guide:

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
No power (Green "POWER" light off)Power adapter not connected or faulty; power outlet issue.Check power adapter connection. Try a different power outlet. Ensure the adapter is DC 24V.
No air flow when trigger is pressedAir compressor off or not connected; air pipe blocked or leaking; insufficient air pressure.Ensure air compressor is on and connected. Check air pipe for blockages or leaks. Verify air pressure is within 0.3-0.7 MPa.
Red "ALARM" light is onIon needle is dirty or damaged.Clean the ion needle as described in the Maintenance section. If the problem persists, the ion needle may need replacement.
Ineffective static removalIon needle dirty; working distance too far; air quality issue.Clean the ion needle. Reduce the working distance (100-400mm is optimal). Ensure air is dry and oil-free.

If the problem persists after attempting these solutions, please contact customer support.
