1. Important Safety Instructions
Please read and understand all safety instructions before operating the MCH-K3010D DC Power Supply. Failure to follow these instructions may result in electric shock, fire, or damage to the product.
- Ensure the input voltage matches the specified voltage (220V for this model) before connecting to a power source.
- Do not operate the device in wet or damp conditions.
- Do not open the casing of the power supply. There are no user-serviceable parts inside. Refer all servicing to qualified personnel.
- Ensure proper ventilation around the unit to prevent overheating. Do not block ventilation openings.
- Always connect the ground terminal to a proper earth ground.
- Disconnect the power supply from the main power source before making any connections or disconnections to the output terminals.
- Avoid short-circuiting the output terminals for extended periods, even with protection features.

3. Package Contents
Verify that all items are present and in good condition upon unpacking:
- MCH-K3010D DC Power Supply Unit
- Power Cord (220V compatible)
- Output Test Leads (Banana plug to Alligator clip)
- Instruction Manual (this document)
4. Setup
4.1 Initial Inspection
Before connecting the power supply, inspect the unit for any visible damage that may have occurred during shipping. Ensure all controls are intact and the ventilation openings are clear.
4.2 Connecting Power
- Ensure the power supply's main power switch is in the OFF position.
- Connect the provided power cord to the AC input socket on the rear panel of the power supply.
- Plug the other end of the power cord into a grounded 220V AC outlet.
4.3 Connecting Load
Always ensure the power supply is OFF before connecting or disconnecting any load.
- Identify the positive (+, red), negative (-, black), and ground (GND, green/yellow) output terminals on the front panel.
- Connect the positive lead of your load to the red (+) terminal.
- Connect the negative lead of your load to the black (-) terminal.
- If your application requires grounding, connect the ground lead of your load to the green/yellow (GND) terminal.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Powering On/Off
- To power ON: Press the power button on the front panel. The digital displays will illuminate.
- To power OFF: Press the power button again. The displays will turn off.
5.2 Adjusting Voltage
The voltage output is adjusted using the 'VOLTAGE' rotary knob on the front panel.
- Turn the 'VOLTAGE' knob clockwise to increase the output voltage.
- Turn the 'VOLTAGE' knob counter-clockwise to decrease the output voltage.
- The 4-digit LED display will show the current output voltage in Volts (V).
5.3 Adjusting Current
The current limit is adjusted using the 'CURRENT' rotary knob on the front panel. This knob sets the maximum current the power supply will deliver before entering Constant Current (CC) mode.
- Turn the 'CURRENT' knob clockwise to increase the current limit.
- Turn the 'CURRENT' knob counter-clockwise to decrease the current limit.
- The 4-digit LED display will show the current output or limit in Amperes (A).
5.4 Constant Voltage (CV) Mode
In CV mode, the power supply maintains a constant output voltage as set by the user, provided the load current does not exceed the preset current limit. The CV indicator (usually a green LED) will be illuminated.
5.5 Constant Current (CC) Mode
If the load resistance is too low or the load attempts to draw more current than the preset current limit, the power supply will automatically switch to CC mode. In this mode, the output current is maintained at the preset limit, and the output voltage will drop accordingly. The CC indicator (usually a red LED) will be illuminated.
5.6 Short Circuit Protection
The MCH-K3010D features short-circuit protection. If a short circuit occurs at the output terminals, the power supply will limit the current to the preset value, protecting both the unit and the connected load. The CC indicator will typically illuminate.
6. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Disconnect the power supply from the main power source. Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the unit. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Ventilation: Regularly check that the ventilation openings on the rear and sides of the unit are free from dust and obstructions.
- Storage: Store the power supply in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures when not in use.
- No User Serviceable Parts: Do not attempt to open or repair the unit yourself. Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel.
7. Troubleshooting
This section addresses common issues you might encounter. If the problem persists, contact customer support.
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| No power/display off | Power cord not connected; Power switch off; Outlet issue | Check power cord connection; Ensure power switch is ON; Test outlet with another device |
| No output voltage/current | Output terminals not connected; Voltage/Current knobs set to zero; Internal fault | Verify load connections; Adjust voltage/current knobs; Contact support if issue persists |
