Setup Guide

1. Power On & Reset

Connect the USB-C cable to the hub and a 5V⎓1A USB power adapter (not included). The blue LED indicator on the hub should start flashing. If it does not flash, press and hold the reset button on the bottom of the device until the blue light flashes.

2. Connect to Wi-Fi

Download the Smart Life or Tuya app from your smartphone's app store. Open the app and add a new device. Select the universal remote control option. Ensure your phone is connected to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network (5 GHz is not supported). Follow the in-app instructions to connect the hub to your Wi-Fi network. Do not leave the app page until the network configuration is successful.

3. Add IR Devices

Once the hub is connected to Wi-Fi, select the infrared remote control option in the app. Choose the electrical brand of your IR appliance (e.g., TV, A/C, fan) from the provided list. If your brand is not listed, you can use the DIY learning function. Follow the app's prompts to test the pre-programmed remote codes or to learn commands from your original IR remote by pointing it at the hub and pressing the corresponding buttons.

4. Add RF Devices

For RF devices, select the RF remote control option in the app. Choose the type of RF appliance (e.g., curtains, RF switch). If your device is not listed, select the DIY learning feature. Enter the correct RF frequency band (315 MHz or 433.92 MHz fixed-code). Point your original RF remote at the hub and long-press the function key to pair. After successful pairing, you can control the RF device through the app.

App Control

After adding your devices, you can control them directly from the Smart Life/Tuya app. The app allows you to:

Troubleshooting & Important Notes

• IR Line-of-Sight: Ensure there are no obstacles between the hub and your IR-controlled devices for proper operation. The effective range is approximately 8–10 meters.
• RF Compatibility: The hub only supports 433.92 MHz fixed-code RF devices. It is not compatible with rolling-code systems commonly used in garage doors or car remotes. Always verify your device's frequency before attempting to pair.
• Wi-Fi Network: The hub requires a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network. It will not connect to 5 GHz networks.
• Power Adapter: A USB-C 5V⎓1A power adapter is required but not included. Use a compatible adapter for stable operation.
