2. Safety Information
Your safety and the safety of others are paramount. Always follow these safety precautions during assembly and use of the shed:
- Site Preparation: Ensure the chosen site is level, firm, and free of obstructions. A concrete slab foundation is highly recommended for stability and longevity.
- Weather Conditions: Do not attempt assembly during strong winds, heavy rain, or lightning. High winds can cause panels to become airborne, leading to injury or damage.
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Wear appropriate safety gear, including gloves, safety glasses, and sturdy footwear, during assembly.
- Lifting: This is a large structure. Always use proper lifting techniques and seek assistance when handling heavy or bulky components.
- Tools: Use only the recommended tools and ensure they are in good working condition.
- Children and Pets: Keep children and pets away from the assembly area to prevent accidents.
- Anchoring: Securely anchor the shed to the ground or foundation immediately after assembly to prevent wind damage.
- Ventilation: Ensure adequate ventilation if using the shed for activities that produce fumes (e.g., vehicle maintenance, painting).
3. Package Contents

4. Setup and Assembly
This shed is designed for easy DIY setup. No specialized contractors or tools are required beyond basic hand tools. Follow these steps carefully:
4.1 Site Preparation and Foundation
Prepare a level and stable foundation. A concrete slab is recommended for optimal stability and to meet the shed's dimensions of 276 x 264 x 150 inches (Length x Width x Height).

4.2 Frame Assembly
Begin by assembling the 16 GA steel frame. Identify all frame components using the parts list. Connect the base rails, vertical supports, and roof trusses according to the diagrams in your detailed manual. Ensure all bolts are securely tightened but do not overtighten until the entire frame is squared.

4.3 Wall Panel Installation
Attach the metal wall panels to the assembled frame. Start from one corner and work your way around, ensuring panels overlap correctly for weather resistance. Secure each panel with the provided fasteners.
4.4 Door Installation
Install the two 8 ft wide roll-up garage doors and the side entry door. Follow the specific instructions for each door type to ensure smooth operation and proper sealing. The side entry door provides convenient pedestrian access.

4.5 Roof Panel Installation
Install the roof panels, ensuring they overlap correctly to prevent water ingress. Secure them firmly to the roof trusses. Pay close attention to sealing any seams or gaps as instructed in the detailed manual.
4.6 Final Inspection and Anchoring
After all panels and doors are installed, perform a final inspection to ensure all fasteners are tight and the structure is square and plumb. Securely anchor the shed to your foundation using appropriate anchoring hardware (not always included, check your package contents).
5. Operating Instructions
The shed is designed for straightforward operation.
5.1 Roll-up Garage Doors
To open the roll-up garage doors, disengage any locking mechanisms and gently lift the door from the bottom. The door will roll up into the overhead track. To close, pull the door down evenly until it reaches the ground and engage the locking mechanism.

5.2 Side Entry Door
The side entry door operates like a standard hinged door. Use the handle to open and close. Ensure it is securely latched or locked when not in use.
6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance will extend the life of your metal shed:
- Cleaning: Periodically wash the exterior with mild soap and water to remove dirt, grime, and environmental buildup. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals.
- Fastener Check: Annually inspect all bolts, screws, and connections for tightness. Tighten any loose fasteners to maintain structural integrity.
- Door Tracks: Keep roll-up door tracks clean and free of debris. Lubricate moving parts of the doors with a silicone-based lubricant as needed.
- Rust Prevention: While made of metal, inspect for any signs of rust, especially in areas where the coating might be scratched. Touch up any affected areas with rust-inhibiting paint.
- Snow Load: In areas with heavy snowfall, regularly clear snow from the roof to prevent exceeding the 21 lb sq ft snow load capacity.
7. Troubleshooting
Here are solutions to common issues you might encounter:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Shed feels unstable or wobbly | Loose fasteners; inadequate anchoring; uneven foundation | Check and tighten all fasteners. Ensure shed is properly anchored to a level foundation. |
| Roll-up door sticks or is difficult to open/close | Debris in tracks; lack of lubrication; misaligned tracks | Clean tracks thoroughly. Apply silicone lubricant to moving parts. Inspect tracks for alignment and adjust if necessary. |
| Water leakage inside the shed | Improperly sealed seams; damaged panels; roof not correctly installed | Inspect roof and wall panel overlaps. Apply sealant to any gaps. Check for damaged panels and replace if necessary. Ensure roof panels are securely fastened. |
| Side entry door does not close properly | Misaligned hinges; warped door frame; obstruction | Check hinges for tightness and alignment. Ensure the door frame is square. Remove any obstructions. |
