  3. Connect Engine Unit to Frame: Mount the engine unit, which includes the fuel tank and cutting head shaft, to the main frame. Ensure it is securely fastened.
  4. Attach Throttle Cable: Connect the throttle cable from the handlebar to the carburetor on the engine. Ensure the cable moves freely and operates the throttle mechanism correctly.
  5. Install Cutting Guard: Attach the red protective guard over the cutting head area. This guard is essential for user safety.
  6. Select and Install Cutting Attachment: Choose either the brush cutter blade or the soil loosening blades. Attach the desired blade securely to the cutting head shaft. Ensure the blade is oriented correctly for cutting (refer to Figure 2.2 for blade orientation).
  7. Final Checks: Verify all bolts and fasteners are tightened. Ensure no cables are pinched and all moving parts operate without obstruction.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Fueling the Engine

This brush cutter uses a 2-stroke engine and requires a specific fuel mixture. Use unleaded gasoline mixed with 2-stroke engine oil at a ratio of 25:1 (Gasoline:Oil).

  • Always mix fuel in a separate, approved fuel container.
  • Pour the mixed fuel into the fuel tank (refer to Figure 2.2 for fuel tank location).
  • Do not overfill. Ensure the fuel cap is securely tightened after fueling.

4.2 Starting the Engine

  1. Place the brush cutter on a flat, stable surface.
  2. Ensure the cutting attachment is clear of any obstructions.
  3. Set the choke lever to the 'START' or 'CHOKE' position (if applicable).
  4. Press the primer bulb several times until fuel is visible in the return line.
  5. Pull the starter cord firmly and smoothly until the engine starts. Do not pull the cord to its full extension.
  6. Once the engine starts, gradually move the choke lever to the 'RUN' position.
  7. Allow the engine to warm up for a few moments before engaging the throttle.

4.3 Operating the Brush Cutter

  • Hold the handles firmly with both hands.
  • Engage the throttle to increase engine speed and activate the cutting attachment.
  • Push the brush cutter forward at a steady pace, allowing the blade to cut through vegetation.
  • For soil loosening, use the appropriate attachment and guide the machine over the soil to be tilled.
  • Maintain a safe distance from the cutting head and avoid contact with hard objects like rocks or metal.

4.4 Stopping the Engine

  • Release the throttle to allow the engine to return to idle.
  • Move the engine stop switch to the 'OFF' position.
  • Wait for all moving parts to come to a complete stop before leaving the machine unattended.

5. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your brush cutter.

5.1 After Each Use

  • Clean the cutting head and guard of any debris, grass, or dirt.
  • Inspect the blade for damage or dullness. Sharpen or replace as needed.
  • Check all fasteners for tightness and tighten if necessary.

5.2 Periodically

  • Air Filter: Clean or replace the air filter to ensure proper engine performance.
  • Spark Plug: Inspect and clean the spark plug. Replace if worn or fouled.
  • Fuel Filter: Check and clean or replace the fuel filter.
  • Gearbox Lubrication: Ensure the gearbox (if applicable) is adequately lubricated according to manufacturer recommendations.

5.3 Storage

  • Before storing, drain the fuel tank or run the engine until it runs out of fuel to prevent fuel degradation.
  • Clean the entire machine thoroughly.
