1. Introduction

This manual provides comprehensive instructions for the GAIGAICHONG replacement remote control, designed for use with various Dometic Waeco CoolAir RV air conditioner models. This remote control requires no programming and features oversized buttons for ease of use.

Please read this manual thoroughly before operating the remote control to ensure proper function and longevity.

2. Compatibility

This replacement remote control is compatible with the following Dometic Waeco CoolAir RV Air Conditioner models:

• SP950 Series: SP950, SP950C (936000114, 936000840), SP950T (936000841, 936000115), SP950I
• RT780 Series: RT780 (936001803, 936001804, 936001894, 936001895, 936002305, 936002306)
• RT880 Series: RT880 (936001498, 936001500, 936001633, 936001634, 936001635, 936000112, 936000849, 936002426)
• CA Series: CA850S, CA85S

No programming is required for these compatible models. The remote is ready to use after battery installation.

3. Setup: Battery Installation

The remote control operates on two AAA 1.5V alkaline batteries (not included). Follow these steps to install the batteries:

1. Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the remote control.
2. Slide the battery compartment cover downwards to open it.
3. Insert two AAA 1.5V batteries, ensuring the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals align correctly with the markings inside the compartment.
4. Slide the battery compartment cover back into place until it clicks securely.

4. Operating Instructions

The remote control features oversized buttons for easy operation. Ensure a clear line of sight between the remote control and the air conditioner unit for optimal performance. The maximum operating range is approximately 10 meters.

Button Functions:

• Power Button (⑂): Press to turn the air conditioner ON or OFF.
• Temperature Up Button (⌃): Press to increase the desired temperature.
• Temperature Down Button (⌄): Press to decrease the desired temperature.
• Speed (+) Button: Press to increase the fan speed.
• Speed (-) Button: Press to decrease the fan speed.

5. Maintenance

Battery Replacement:

Replace the batteries when the remote control's performance diminishes or if the air conditioner does not respond to commands. Always replace both AAA batteries simultaneously with new ones.

Cleaning:

Wipe the remote control with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials, as these may damage the surface or internal components.

Remote Control Not Responding:

• Check Batteries: Ensure batteries are correctly installed with the correct polarity (+/-) and are not depleted. Replace with fresh AAA batteries if necessary.
• Line of Sight: Verify there is a clear path between the remote control and the air conditioner's infrared receiver. Obstructions can block the signal.
• Distance: Ensure you are within the maximum operating range of 10 meters.

Intermittent Operation:

• This may indicate low battery power. Replace the batteries.
• Ensure no strong light sources (like direct sunlight) are interfering with the infrared signal.
