Important Safeguards

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and/or injury to persons, including the following:

  • Read all instructions before using the appliance.
  • Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
  • To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse cord, plugs, or main unit in water or other liquid.

  • Always attach plug to appliance first, then plug cord into the wall outlet. To disconnect, turn any control to "off", then remove plug from wall outlet.
  • Do not use appliance for other than intended use.
  • Oversized foods or metal utensils must not be inserted in a dual basket air fryer as they may create a fire or risk of electric shock.
  • A fire may occur if the air fryer is covered or touching flammable material, including curtains, drapes, walls, and the like, when in operation. Do not place any items on top of the appliance when in operation.
  • Do not clean with metal scouring pads. Pieces can break off the pad and touch electrical parts, creating a risk of electric shock.
  • Extreme caution should be exercised when using containers constructed of other than metal or glass.
  • Do not store any materials, other than manufacturer's recommended accessories, in this air fryer when not in use.
  • Do not place any of the following materials in the air fryer: paper, cardboard, plastic, or similar materials.
  • Do not cover the air vents while the appliance is in operation.

Before First Use

  1. Unpack: Carefully remove all packaging materials, stickers, and labels from the appliance.
  2. Clean Components: Wash the removable baskets and crisper plates with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely. The baskets and crisper plates are dishwasher safe.
  3. Wipe Main Unit: Wipe the exterior of the main unit with a clean, damp cloth. Do not immerse the main unit in water.
  4. Initial Run (Optional): It is recommended to run the air fryer empty for about 10-15 minutes at 400°F (200°C) to burn off any manufacturing residues. A slight odor may be present, which is normal and will dissipate. Ensure good ventilation during this process.

Setup

  1. Placement: Place the air fryer on a stable, level, heat-resistant surface. Ensure there is at least 6 inches (15 cm) of clear space on all sides and above the appliance to allow for proper air circulation. Do not place it directly under cabinets.
  2. Insert Crisper Plates: Place the crisper plates into the bottom of each air fryer basket.
  3. Insert Baskets: Slide the air fryer baskets firmly into the main unit until they click into place.
  4. Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet. The control panel will illuminate.

Operating Instructions

The Kaitol 12QT Dual Layer Air Fryer Oven features a user-friendly control panel with both a touchscreen and a rotary knob for precise adjustments.

  • LED Touchscreen: Displays time, temperature, and selected functions.
  • Rotary Knob: Used to adjust time and temperature settings.
  • Function Buttons: Dedicated buttons for Air Fry, Broil, Roast, Bake, Reheat, Dehydrate, and Fries.
  • Power Button: Turns the unit on/off.
  • Basket Select Button (1/2): Toggles between controlling Basket 1 (Upper) and Basket 2 (Lower).
  • SYNC Button: Synchronizes the finish time for both baskets when cooking different items.
  • MATCH Button: Applies the same cooking settings to both baskets.

Basic Operation

  1. Prepare Food: Place ingredients into the air fryer basket(s) on top of the crisper plate. Do not overfill.
  2. Select Basket: Press the "1" or "2" button to select the basket you wish to program.
  3. Choose Function: Press the desired cooking function button (e.g., Air Fry, Roast). The default time and temperature for that function will appear.
  4. Adjust Settings: Use the rotary knob to adjust the time and temperature as needed. Temperature can be set up to 450°F (230°C).
  5. Start Cooking: Press the Start/Pause button to begin cooking.
  6. Monitor Cooking: You can pull out the baskets during cooking to shake or check food. The unit will pause automatically and resume when the basket is reinserted.
  7. End of Cooking: The unit will beep when cooking is complete. Carefully remove the baskets.

Advanced Functions

Match Cook

Use the Match Cook function to apply the exact same cooking settings (time and temperature) to both baskets simultaneously. This is ideal when cooking a large quantity of the same food.

  1. Prepare food and place in both baskets.
  2. Select Basket 1. Choose desired function, time, and temperature.
  3. Press the MATCH button. The settings from Basket 1 will be copied to Basket 2.
  4. Press Start/Pause to begin cooking.

Smart Finish (SYNC)

The Smart Finish function allows you to cook two different foods with different settings, ensuring they both finish cooking at the same time. The air fryer will automatically adjust the start time for the basket that requires less cooking time.

  1. Prepare food and place in both baskets.
  2. Select Basket 1. Choose desired function, time, and temperature for Basket 1.
  3. Select Basket 2. Choose desired function, time, and temperature for Basket 2.
  4. Press the SYNC button. The display will show "SYNC" and indicate which basket will start first.
  5. Press Start/Pause to begin cooking.

  • Air Fry: Ideal for crispy results with little to no oil. Perfect for fries, chicken wings, and nuggets.
  • Broil: Uses direct top heat for browning and crisping.

  • Bake: Suitable for cakes, pastries, and other baked goods.
  • Reheat: Quickly warms up leftovers while maintaining texture.
  • Dehydrate: Removes moisture from food for snacks like fruit chips or jerky.

Cleaning and Maintenance

Daily Cleaning

  1. Unplug and Cool: Always unplug the air fryer from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  2. Clean Baskets and Crisper Plates: The removable baskets and crisper plates are non-stick coated and BPA-free. They are dishwasher safe for easy cleaning. Alternatively, wash them with warm, soapy water using a non-abrasive sponge. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
  3. Wipe Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the main unit with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
  4. Clean Interior: Wipe the interior of the appliance with a damp cloth. For stubborn food residue, use a mild dish soap solution.

Storage

Ensure the appliance is clean and completely dry before storing. Store the air fryer in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and out of reach of children.

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Appliance does not turn on. Not plugged in; Power outlet malfunction; Basket not fully inserted. Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into a grounded outlet. Check the circuit breaker. Push the basket(s) firmly until they click into place.
Food is not cooked evenly. Baskets are overcrowded; Food not shaken/flipped. Do not overcrowd the baskets; cook in smaller batches if necessary. Shake or flip food halfway through cooking for even results.
White smoke coming from the appliance. Grease residue from previous use; Fatty ingredients. Clean the baskets and crisper plates thoroughly after each use. For fatty foods, consider using parchment paper liners or draining excess fat during cooking.
Food is not crispy. Too much moisture; Not enough oil (for certain foods); Temperature too low or time too short. Pat food dry before air frying. Lightly spray or toss food with oil for crispier results. Increase temperature or cooking time as needed.
Unit smells during first use. Manufacturing residues burning off. This is normal. Ensure good ventilation. The smell will dissipate after a few uses.
