5. Setup

  1. Unpack the Machine: Carefully remove the binding machine and all accessories from the packaging.
  2. Place on a Stable Surface: Position the machine on a firm, flat, and stable surface.
  3. Attach the Punch Handle: Insert the punch handle into its designated slot on the side of the machine and secure it.
  4. Connect Power: Plug the power adapter into the machine's power input, then plug the adapter into a standard electrical outlet.
  5. Adjust Paper Margin: Use the paper margin adjuster located at the back of the machine to set the desired distance from the paper edge to the punched holes (2.5 mm, 4.5 mm, or 6.5 mm).
  6. Perform Test Punch: Before binding important documents, perform a test punch on a few scrap sheets to ensure correct alignment and punch depth.

6. Operation

6.1. Punching Documents

  1. Prepare Paper: Ensure your paper is neatly stacked and free from staples or clips.
  2. Insert Paper: Slide the paper into the punching slot, aligning it with the adjustable edge guide. Make sure the paper is pushed all the way in until it stops.
  3. Punch: Firmly pull down the punch handle to create the holes.
  4. Repeat: Remove the punched sheets and repeat the process for all pages, ensuring not to exceed the maximum punch capacity (12 sheets of 80g paper or 2 sheets of PVC cover per time).

6.2. Inserting Coils (Binding)

  1. Select Coil: Choose a spiral coil of appropriate size for your document thickness. Refer to the size guide on the machine for maximum binding capacity.
  2. Manually Start Coil: Thread the first few holes of your punched document onto one end of the spiral coil manually.
  3. Use Electric Coil Inserter: Place the partially threaded document onto the electric coil inserter rollers. Turn on the electric inserter (red button). The rollers will rotate, feeding the coil through the remaining holes. Guide the paper gently to ensure smooth insertion.
  4. Finish Binding: Once the coil is fully inserted, turn off the electric inserter.

6.3. Finishing the Coil

  1. Cut Excess Coil: Use the provided coil crimper pliers to cut off any excess coil length at both ends of the document.
  2. Crimp Ends: Use the pliers to crimp or bend the ends of the coil inward to prevent the pages from coming loose.

7. Maintenance

  • Empty Waste Bin: Regularly check and empty the waste bin located at the bottom of the machine to prevent jams and ensure optimal performance.
  • Clean the Machine: Wipe the exterior of the machine with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Lubrication: No special lubrication is required for this machine.
