Operating Instructions

The Sunvivi Slow Cooker features three heating modes to accommodate various cooking needs:

  • LOW: Ideal for slow cooking and simmering, typically for longer cooking times (e.g., 6-8 hours).
  • HIGH: For faster cooking, suitable for shorter cooking times (e.g., 3-4 hours).
  • WARM: Maintains food at a serving temperature after cooking. Do not use the WARM setting for cooking raw food.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues with your slow cooker, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

  • Appliance does not turn on:
    • Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into a working electrical outlet.
    • Check if the control knob is set to a heating mode (LOW, HIGH, or WARM) and not 'OFF'.
  • Food is not cooking properly:
    • Verify that the lid is properly seated on the ceramic pot to retain heat.
    • Ensure the correct heating setting (LOW or HIGH) is selected for your recipe.
    • Avoid lifting the lid frequently, as this can significantly increase cooking time.
    • Check the amount of liquid in the pot; too little liquid can lead to uneven cooking.
  • Food is burning or overcooking:
    • Ensure the correct heating setting is selected. Some recipes may require the LOW setting for longer durations.
    • Adjust cooking times according to your specific recipe and desired doneness.
  • Lid does not fit securely:
    • Ensure the ceramic pot is correctly seated in the base unit.
    • Check for any food debris or obstructions preventing the lid from seating properly.
