Setup
1. Battery Installation
- Open the battery compartment cover on the underside of the scale.
- Insert the four AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.
2. Initializing the Scale
- Place the scale on a hard, flat surface.
- Lightly step on the scale to activate it. The display will show "0.0" or "CAL" and then turn off. This indicates the scale is calibrated and ready for use.
3. Installing the A&D Heart Track App
- Download the "A&D Heart Track" app from the Apple App Store (for iOS 12.0 or later) or Google Play Store (for Android 5.0 or above).
- Open the app and create a user account.

4. Pairing with the A&D Heart Track App
- Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your smartphone.
- Open the A&D Heart Track App.
- In the app, navigate to the "Add Bluetooth Weight Scale" option.
- Select the UC-450BLE from the list of available devices.
- Lightly step on the scale to wake it up and ensure the Bluetooth icon is visible on the scale's display.

Operation
1. Taking a Measurement
- Place the scale on a hard, flat surface.
- Ensure your feet are clean and dry. For body composition measurements, it is important to stand barefoot on the scale, ensuring your feet make contact with all four electrode sensors.
- Step onto the scale. The scale will automatically activate and begin measuring.
- Stand still until your weight and other body composition metrics are displayed on the scale's LCD screen.
- If the app is open and connected, the data will automatically sync to your A&D Heart Track App profile.
- The scale will automatically shut off after approximately 15 seconds of inactivity to conserve battery life.

2. Understanding Body Composition Metrics
The UC-450BLE scale measures and estimates the following metrics:
- Weight: Your total body mass.
- BMI (Body Mass Index): A measure of body fat based on height and weight.
- Body Fat Percentage: The proportion of fat to total body weight.
- Muscle Mass: The total weight of muscle in your body.
- Bone Density: An estimation of bone mineral content.
- Water Percentage: The proportion of water to total body weight.
- Visceral Fat: Fat stored around the organs in the abdomen.

3. Changing Measurement Units
The scale can display measurements in pounds (lb) or kilograms (kg).
- Locate the unit switch button on the underside of the scale, near the battery compartment.
- Press and release the switch to toggle between pounds (lb) and kilograms (kg). The selected unit will be displayed on the scale's screen during the next measurement.

4. Multi-User Functionality
The A&D Heart Track App supports multiple user profiles, allowing different individuals to track their data separately. The UC-450BLE scale is compatible with up to 2 users.
- Each user should create their own profile within the A&D Heart Track App.
- When a user steps on the scale, ensure their profile is active in the app for correct data synchronization.
