2.2 Battery Installation and Charging
The DX12 comes with dual 12AH Lithium Batteries. These batteries are typically pre-installed. Ensure the wheelchair is turned off during charging.
2.3 Joystick Adjustment
The joystick controller can be mounted on either the left or right hand side for user comfort. It also features an adjustable length. To adjust, locate the adjustment mechanism beneath the joystick mount and secure it in the desired position.
3. Operating Instructions
3.1 Powering On/Off
To power on the wheelchair, press the power button on the joystick controller. The indicator lights will illuminate. To power off, press and hold the power button until the lights turn off.
3.2 Driving with the Joystick
The 360-degree joystick provides precise control. Gently push the joystick in the desired direction (forward, backward, left, or right) to move the wheelchair. To maximize battery life, charge the batteries regularly, even if the wheelchair is not in frequent use. Avoid fully discharging the batteries. Store the wheelchair and batteries in a cool, dry place.
4.3 Tire Inspection
Regularly inspect the tires for wear and tear. The Rubicon DX12 features puncture-proof tires, but it is still important to check for any damage or debris that could affect performance.
