3. Setup and Installation
The TMEZON Wireless Doorbell Kit is designed for quick and easy setup without the need for WiFi or complex wiring. Follow these steps for installation:

This image displays the two main components of the TMEZON Wireless Doorbell Kit. Each set includes a compact white receiver with a USB plug and a vibrant, multi-colored LED light ring, designed to be plugged into a standard USB port. Alongside it is the white, rectangular doorbell button (transmitter) featuring a prominent bell icon encircled by a blue light, which is pressed to activate the chime.
- Receiver Placement: Plug the doorbell receiver into any standard USB socket indoors. Ensure it is within the 1000ft (300m) wireless range of the transmitter and in a location where the chime can be easily heard.
- Transmitter Installation: Choose a suitable location for the doorbell transmitter (button) near your door. Clean the surface thoroughly. You have two installation options:
- Adhesive Mounting: Peel off one side of the 3M adhesive sticker and apply it to the back of the transmitter. Peel off the other side and firmly press the transmitter onto the desired clean, dry surface for at least 30 seconds.
- Screw Mounting: Use the provided screws and anchors to securely mount the transmitter to the wall. This method is recommended for uneven surfaces or for a more permanent installation.
Note: While the doorbell button can be installed on a nearby wall, it is not recommended for direct installation on metal doors, as this may interfere with the wireless signal range.
- Testing: After installation, press the doorbell transmitter button to ensure the receiver chimes. If it does not, check the distance and any potential obstructions.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Changing Melodies
The receiver offers 60 different chimes. To cycle through the melodies, press the 'Music' button (often indicated by a musical note icon) on the side or front of the receiver. Each press will advance to the next melody. The receiver will remember your last selected melody even after being unplugged.
4.2 Adjusting Volume
There are 5 adjustable volume levels. To change the volume, press the 'Volume' button (often indicated by a speaker icon) on the receiver. Each press will cycle through the volume levels from loudest to mute. The receiver will remember your last selected volume level.
4.3 LED Flash Indicator
The receiver features a colorful LED light that flashes when the doorbell is pressed. This visual indicator is particularly useful for the elderly or hearing-impaired individuals, providing an additional alert alongside the audible chime.
5. Maintenance
5.1 Weather Resistance
The outdoor doorbell transmitter is constructed from high-quality ABS material, providing excellent fire and flame resistance. It is designed with IP55 dust-proof and waterproof protection, allowing it to operate reliably in various weather conditions, including temperatures ranging from -4°F to 140°F (-20°C to 60°C).
5.2 Energy Saving
The receiver utilizes an optimized circuit design for efficient power consumption. The transmitter is designed to consume no power when not being pressed, ensuring long battery life for the CR2023 battery.
5.3 Cleaning
To clean the doorbell units, use a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these may damage the surface or internal components.
6. Troubleshooting
- Doorbell not chiming:
- Ensure the receiver is securely plugged into a working USB port.
- Check if the transmitter battery (CR2023) needs replacement.
- Verify that the transmitter and receiver are within the effective wireless range (1000ft/300m in open space) and that there are no significant obstructions (e.g., thick metal walls) between them.
- If the receiver volume is set to mute, increase the volume level.
- Short wireless range:
- Relocate the receiver closer to the transmitter.
- Avoid placing the transmitter directly on metal surfaces.
- Minimize obstructions like large metal objects or thick concrete walls between the units.
