Setup
Preparation Before Testing
- Read the entire instruction manual carefully before beginning the test.
- Ensure the test kit is at room temperature (68-86°F / 20-30°C) before opening.
- Collect a urine sample in a clean, dry container. The sample should be sufficient to immerse the test strip up to the MAX line.
- Do not drink excessive fluids immediately before testing, as this can dilute the urine and affect results.
Operating Instructions
Step-by-Step Testing Procedure
- Collect Urine: Obtain a fresh urine sample in a clean, dry container.
- Open Pouch: Remove the test strip from its sealed foil pouch just before use.
- Dip Strip: Immerse the absorbent tip of the test strip into the urine sample with the arrow pointing towards the urine. Do not dip past the MAX line.
- Wait: Hold the strip in the urine for approximately 10-15 seconds.
- Lay Flat: Remove the strip from the urine and lay it flat on a clean, dry, non-absorbent surface.
- Read Result: Read the test result at 5 minutes. Do not interpret results after 60 minutes, as they may become inaccurate.

Interpreting Results
The test strip features two lines: a Control Line (C) and a Test Line (T).
- Negative Result (C and T lines): Two distinct colored lines appear. One line appears in the control region (C) and another line appears in the test region (T). A negative result indicates that the drug concentration is below the detectable cutoff level (50 ng/ml). Note: Any visible T line, no matter how faint, indicates a negative result.
- Positive Result (C line only): One colored line appears in the control region (C), and no line appears in the test region (T). A positive result indicates that the drug concentration is at or above the detectable cutoff level (50 ng/ml).
- Invalid Result (No C line): No colored line appears in the control region (C), or only a test line (T) appears. This indicates an invalid test. Review the procedure and retest with a new strip.

Maintenance
Storage and Handling
- Store the test kit in its original sealed pouch at room temperature (68-86°F / 20-30°C).
- Do not store in direct sunlight or in areas with high humidity.
- Do not freeze the test strips.
- Check the expiration date printed on the pouch before use. Do not use expired tests.
- Handle test strips carefully; do not touch the reaction areas.

Troubleshooting
Common Issues and Solutions
- No Control Line (C): If no control line appears, the test is invalid. This could be due to improper procedure or a defective strip. Discard the test and retest with a new strip, ensuring all steps are followed correctly.
- Faint Test Line (T): A faint test line still indicates a negative result. The intensity of the line does not correlate with the concentration of the substance. However, a faint line can be influenced by factors such as drug concentration near the cutoff level, dilution from excess fluid intake, or timing and metabolism.

Factors Affecting Test Results
Several factors can influence the accuracy and outcome of a urine drug test:
- Quality of the Test Kit: The accuracy depends on the quality of the kit. Low-quality or poorly stored tests may produce false readings.
- Metabolism: Faster metabolism can lead to quicker drug elimination. Factors like age, body fat, and genetics influence metabolism.
- Timing of the Test: First-morning urine is often more concentrated, making it more reliable. Diluted samples can lower drug concentration.
- Medications & Supplements: Certain medications (e.g., antibiotics, cold medicines, antidepressants) or supplements (e.g., vitamin B) can interfere with drug tests.
- Method of Consumption: Smoking/vaping leads to quicker absorption and elimination. Edibles and concentrates/dabs may result in longer detection times.
- Frequency & Amount of Use: Occasional users may clear THC faster than frequent or heavy users.
- Test Expiry Date: Expired test kits may not perform accurately. Always check the expiration date.
- Urine pH: Abnormal pH levels can affect drug metabolism and detection.
- Hydration & Diet: Excessive hydration can dilute drug levels, while dehydration can concentrate them. Diet can also affect metabolism.
- Temperature of the Sample: The optimal temperature for a urine sample is 90-100°F (32-38°C). Improper temperature or tampered samples can lead to invalid results.
- Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs): UTIs can alter urine composition and potentially affect test accuracy.
- Test Procedure Accuracy: Poor sample handling or contamination can lead to inaccurate results. Follow instructions carefully.
