Setup and Assembly Instructions

Follow these steps to assemble your HOFFREE Kids Desk Chair. It is recommended to assemble the chair on a soft, clean surface to prevent damage.

Step 1: Attach Wheels to Base

Insert each of the five wheels into the sockets at the end of the chair base arms. Push firmly until they click into place.

Step 2: Install Gas Lift and Footrest

Place the gas lift cylinder into the center hole of the assembled chair base. Slide the footrest ring over the gas lift cylinder, adjusting it to the desired height for the user's feet. Secure the footrest ring if there is a locking mechanism (e.g., a knob or screw).

Step 3: Attach Seat to Gas Lift

Carefully place the chair seat assembly onto the top of the gas lift cylinder. Press down firmly to ensure it is securely seated.

Step 4: Attach Backrest to Seat

Align the backrest with the mounting points on the seat assembly. Secure it using the provided screws and Allen wrench. Ensure all screws are tightened evenly and securely.

Step 5: Final Check

Once assembled, test the chair for stability and ensure all connections are tight. The chair is now ready for use.

Operating Instructions

Adjusting Seat Height

To adjust the seat height, locate the lever on the right side beneath the seat. While seated, pull the lever upwards to lower the seat. To raise the seat, stand up and pull the lever upwards. Release the lever at the desired height to lock the position.

Adjusting Footrest Height

The footrest ring can be adjusted vertically along the gas lift cylinder. Loosen the knob or mechanism securing the footrest, slide it to the desired height, and then re-tighten the mechanism to secure it in place. Ensure the user's feet are comfortably supported.

Armrest Functionality

The armrests on this chair are designed to flip up. This feature allows the chair to be pushed closer to a desk or table when not in use, saving space. Simply lift the armrests upwards until they lock into their vertical position. To return them, pull them down.

Maintenance

• Cleaning: Wipe the chair's plastic and mesh surfaces with a damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners. For fabric parts, spot clean with a suitable upholstery cleaner.
• Inspection: Periodically check all screws and bolts for tightness. Re-tighten any loose fasteners to maintain stability and safety.
• Wheels: Keep the wheels free of hair, dust, and debris to ensure smooth rolling.
• Gas Lift: Do not attempt to disassemble the gas lift cylinder. If it malfunctions, contact customer support.

Troubleshooting

Chair is wobbly after assembly:

Ensure all screws, especially those connecting the backrest and armrests to the seat, are fully tightened. Check that the gas lift is properly seated in the base and seat mechanism.

Seat height adjustment not working:

Verify that the adjustment lever is fully engaged when pulled. Ensure there is no obstruction preventing the gas lift from moving. If the gas lift is faulty, it may need replacement.

Wheels not rolling smoothly:

Check for debris (hair, lint, dirt) caught in the wheel casters. Clean them thoroughly. Ensure the wheels are fully inserted into the chair base.

Footrest slides down:

Tighten the securing knob or mechanism on the footrest ring firmly. If it continues to slide, the mechanism may be worn or damaged.
