4. Setup & Installation

The Gritin Under Cabinet Lights are designed for easy installation with two primary methods:

Method 1: Magnetic Attachment (Recommended for most surfaces)

The lights feature built-in strong magnets. For iron surfaces, simply attach the light directly. For non-metallic surfaces, use the included adhesive iron plates.

  1. Clean the installation area thoroughly to ensure it is free from dust and debris.
  2. Align the adhesive iron plates with the magnetic points on the back of the light.
  3. Peel off the protective film from the adhesive backing of the iron plates.
  4. Firmly press the light with the attached iron plates onto the desired surface (e.g., under a cabinet, inside a closet).

Method 2: Screw Installation (For permanent or extra sturdy mounting)

For a more permanent fixture, the included screws can be used with the adhesive iron plates.

  1. Identify the mounting location and mark two points ensuring the spacing matches the width of the light body.
  2. Drill small pilot holes at the marked locations.
  3. Insert the included expansion anchors into the holes (if needed for drywall).
  4. Attach the adhesive iron plates to the surface using the provided screws.
  5. Mount the cabinet light onto the installed iron plates magnetically.

  • Warm Light (3000K): Ideal for cozy spaces, creating a relaxing atmosphere.
  • Natural Light (4500K): A balanced mixed light for versatile use.
  • White Light (6000K): Perfect for task lighting, providing clear and bright illumination.

To switch between color temperatures, simply press the Temperature Button (often marked with a thermometer icon or light bulb icon). The light has a memory function and will recall the last selected color temperature upon reactivation.

6. Modes & Settings

The motion sensor lights support four distinct modes to adapt to various occasions and energy-saving preferences.

  • OFF Mode: The light is completely off.
  • Night Sensing Mode: The light activates only when motion is detected in darkness. It automatically turns off after 20 seconds of no motion.
  • Daytime Sensing Mode: The light activates whenever motion is detected, regardless of ambient light conditions (dark or bright). It automatically turns off after 20 seconds of no motion.
  • Always On Mode: Provides continuous and stable lighting, remaining on until manually switched off or battery depletes.

To switch between modes, use the slider switch located on the light unit. The motion sensor features a 120° wide sensing angle and a 3M/10FT detection distance.

9. Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues with your Gritin Under Cabinet Light, please refer to the following common problems and solutions:

ProblemPossible Cause & Solution
Light does not turn on.
  • Low Battery: Recharge the light using the provided USB-C cable. Check the charging indicator.
  • Incorrect Mode: Ensure the light is not in "OFF Mode". Switch to "Always On Mode" or a "Sensing Mode".
Motion sensor is not working.
  • Incorrect Mode: Ensure the light is set to "Night Sensing Mode" or "Daytime Sensing Mode".
  • Obstruction: Ensure the motion sensor is not blocked by objects.
  • Distance/Angle: Verify that motion is occurring within the 3M/10FT detection range and 120° sensing angle.
  • Ambient Light (Night Sensing): In "Night Sensing Mode", the sensor only activates in dark conditions. Test in a darker environment.
Light turns off too quickly.
  • Standard Auto-Off: In sensing modes, the light is designed to turn off after 20 seconds of no motion detected. This is normal operation.
  • Low Battery: A very low battery might cause the light to turn off prematurely. Recharge the unit.
Brightness or color temperature cannot be adjusted.
  • Button Malfunction: Ensure buttons are not stuck or damaged.
  • Low Battery: Some functions may be limited when the battery is critically low. Recharge the light.
