5. Setup and Installation

Follow these steps carefully to install the W10515057 LED Light Board:

1. Disconnect Power: Before beginning, unplug your refrigerator from the power outlet or turn off the circuit breaker supplying power to the appliance.
2. Locate Existing Light Board: Identify the faulty LED light board(s) within your refrigerator. Many refrigerators have multiple LED boards. The W10515057 boards are typically located in the fresh food and freezer compartments. There is also a main LED board (part number W10515058) usually located in the ceiling of the refrigerator.

3. Remove Old Board: Carefully remove the existing LED light board from its plastic housing. Disconnect any wiring harnesses attached to it.
4. Prepare New Board: The W10515057 replacement board does not include the plastic housing. You must reuse the original housing from your refrigerator.

5. Install New Board into Housing: Carefully snap the new W10515057 LED Light Board into your existing plastic housing. Ensure it is seated securely.

6. Reconnect and Reinstall: Reconnect the wiring harness to the new LED board. Reinstall the assembled light board back into its position in the refrigerator.
7. Restore Power: Once installation is complete and all components are securely in place, plug the refrigerator back into the power outlet or turn on the circuit breaker. Test the new light board for proper operation.

6. Operating Characteristics

The W10515057 LED Light Board operates within specific voltage parameters to ensure optimal performance and light output:

• Normal Working Voltage: 12.5V (White light will appear on the light board)
• Minimum Support Voltage: 10.2V (Dim white light will appear on the light board. If voltage is below 10.2V, the light board will not illuminate due to low voltage.)
• Maximum Support Voltage: 16V (Blue light may appear on the light board at this voltage.)

7. Maintenance

The W10515057 LED Light Board is designed for long-term, maintenance-free operation. However, to ensure its longevity:

• Keep the area around the light board clean and free of debris.
• Avoid exposing the board to excessive moisture or extreme temperatures.
• Do not attempt to modify the board or its components.

8. Troubleshooting

If your new W10515057 LED Light Board is not functioning correctly, consider the following:

• Light is Dim, Flickering, or Not Working: Before replacing the W10515057 board(s), it is crucial to check the main LED board (part number W10515058) located in the ceiling of your refrigerator. If the W10515058 main board has failed, it can cause one or both W10515057 boards to be dim, flicker, or not work at all. The W10515058 main board must be replaced first if it is faulty, as it supplies power to the W10515057 boards.
• No Light: Ensure the refrigerator is properly plugged in and receiving power. Verify that the wiring harness is securely connected to the LED board.
• Incorrect Light Color: Refer to the Operating Characteristics section (Section 6) to check if the voltage supplied to the board is within the normal range. Blue light may indicate a higher voltage, while dim white light indicates lower voltage.
• Physical Damage: Inspect the board for any visible signs of damage, such as burnt components or broken connections. If damage is present, the board may need to be replaced.
