Setup

1. Handle Assembly

Insert the handle into the main body of the machine until it clicks securely into place. Ensure it is firmly seated before use.

2. Filling the Clean Water Tank

  1. Remove the clean water tank from the back of the machine by lifting it upwards.
  2. Unscrew the cap at the bottom of the tank.
  3. For large area cleaning, fill with warm tap water to the "WATER" fill line. Then, add Bissell Hard Floor Sanitize Formula 2504L to the "FORMULA" fill line. For small area cleaning, fill to the respective "SMALL AREA" lines.
  4. Replace the cap and reinsert the clean water tank into the machine, ensuring it is seated properly.

Operating Instructions

1. Powering On and Selecting Mode

Plug the machine into a grounded outlet. Press the power button located on the handle. Select the appropriate cleaning mode for your surface: Hard Floor or Area Rug. The machine will begin to vacuum and wash simultaneously.

The included Bissell Hard Floor Sanitize Formula 2504L is designed to eliminate 99.9% of bacteria on sealed hard floors. Ensure you use this formula as directed in the clean water tank for sanitizing benefits.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your Bissell Crosswave Turbo.

1. Emptying and Cleaning the Dirty Water Tank

  1. Turn off and unplug the machine.
  2. Remove the dirty water tank from the front of the machine.
  3. Carefully remove the filter and pour out the dirty water.
  4. Rinse the tank and filter thoroughly with water. Allow to air dry completely before reassembling.

2. Cleaning the Brush Roll

  1. With the dirty water tank removed, locate the brush roll window on the foot of the machine.
  2. Lift the brush roll window to access the brush roll.
  3. Remove the brush roll and rinse it under running water. Remove any hair or debris.
  4. Allow the brush roll to air dry completely before reinserting.

3. Cleaning the FreshStart Filter

The FreshStart filter is designed to protect against odors. Rinse the filter after each use and allow it to air dry completely before placing it back into the dirty water tank. Replace the filter periodically for best performance.

4. Storage

Store the machine in a dry, protected area. Use the provided storage tray to keep the machine upright and to catch any drips after cleaning.
